I wrote a review for this game a while back and the score is still the same! It seems like the devs have abandoned the game now which is a great pity! I got a new phone a few days ago but can’t swap the game over so, after 6 years of logging on every day I lost the game!

Please remove this game from the App Store. I downloaded it today. Upon opening the game is is stuck with the prompt “processing data”. Clearly it is trying to connect a server which has most likely not been maintained or monitored so the app will never open and be playable. I have the newest iPad Pro. It sends a really bad message when someone downloads a game and it won’t even open. It’s better that it not even be available for download if that’s the case. It hasn’t been updated in like 3 years so clearly it’s a dead game. Very pathetic in my opinion on. I would leave 0 stars if I could

After playing this game for a little while, I think it’s awesome. The art looks cool, the free stuff you get makes it easy to have a running start so it doesn’t feel like your locked at the beginning. The only problems I have with the game are the facts that the loading times can be a bit long. And the gacha system. Now don’t get me wrong the system in itself isn’t all that bad. But the fact that you have to rely on it to get so much feels a bit off to me. Unless I just haven’t reached that far into the game and there’s eventually a way to earn skills. I have noticed that the only way to get skills for characters is to use the gacha system in the store and hope for luck. If there was a way to earn skills. Like maybe hitting a certain level on a character gives that character a skill. It would be worlds above a lot of other games I’ve played.

The combat is pretty good, which is necessary because that’s what most of the game consists of.  Progression never feels too slow. Attractive art style, well designed characters and foes, satisfying sound effects. Basically, the atmosphere is good. The story is a bit generic, but who plays for the riveting storylines? 
Few minor complaints. Slow to load, unnecessary online, quality of like stuff like inability to hit “collect all” on rewards, and not all character are treated equally. I just want Isabel and Duku to have skins. Is that too much to ask?

I really love this game its one of the best and enjoyable games i have played on my phone, but please there’re some features that we really need in this game and some server fixes.

•Feature to be added if possible:
- Being able to use more than 5 scroll to enhance.
- 10x draw for Fp and premium draws.
- Purchasing more inventory room faster and easier than 5 at a time please.
- And please this one !!! (Auto battle) !!!

And the last one please fix the loading time its really too much!! Everything needs a 10-30 sec loading screen.

Fun and interesting. Addictive to start, but still challenging. Yet to figure out the best to put on my characters and how to advance them without a purchase. Linear so far. We will see if this one is a keeper.

This so far is a great game. But there needs to be updates or something, because i have unlocked characters and i am trying to go through the added stories for end materials and such, but then there are half of the characters saying updates coming soon and months without any new content. But over all this is a great game just needs and update

Been bouncing around looking for a good rpg for some time now. Was playing mainly fire emblem heroes. This game has game mechanics similar to knights of pen and paper and final fantasy feel. Characters are unique with blends of two class trees (etc. Paladin is both nature and holy). Many characters have unique skills that take a while to merge up, skills are scrolls that can be combined to tier up. Great customization for skill combos and anti-meta skills and characters are also effective.Ftp gems are really easy to get and legendary gear has a ~10%-15% drop rate which makes earlygame much easier. Plot is interesting but nothing crazy

Restarted 3 times and still doesn’t work on guest account. After recruiting Cain the game prompts you to see what equipment you can give him.

The only way to proceed is to click on Inventory. The tutorial then asks you to access your inventory, no icon is highlighted and tapping any part of the screen does nothing.

Closing and reopening game just repeats the above

I'm all about supporting indie games. But i spent over $2500 in chromatic souls and they screwed me over big time. They merged servers and stuck my hard earned geared chars in the Chinese server instead of global server. I live in Nyc.  I don't know Chinese. I get disconnected every minute. My guild is gone. My friends are gone. My hard work and cash is gone. Why?  Because they refuse or are unable to switch me back to the global server. This has gone on and on and "customer service" only tells me to that developers are working on it. Days go by and nothing. The lesson here is simple:  if a guy who spent over 2500 usd in a "free" game gets ignored, imagine your future here. UPDATE:::
They finally fixed the load issue. All my progress was wiped out. Making me start over from the beginning. Yea, I'm done. All my people were about level 50, and for no reason it stopped loading so when it was finally fixed I have to start over?? Nope. Fk this game and this developer. I'm done with both. Download at your own risk. You'll love this game and then be devastated when you have to start over. Goodbye Chromatic Souls AND Gamevil. Now I'm boycotting you and GluGames for being shady POS.

Been playing this for a month. Love it. All my people are level 40+. All of the sudden today it stopped loading. Title screen says LoadVersionFailed (0of2). Counts down from 5 and repeats. I've reinstalled, turned off my phone, used wifi and data and all combinations of those things. Same result. Typical. I actually find a game I enjoy and it just stops working. Fits right in with the rest of my life. If this gets fixed I'll update my review. But right now I'm super upset about this.

This really is a solid game. The graphics and art style are different. Not pixels or anime, but a nice painting-like style throughout. The battle system is a good turn-based style, which is a nice break from the adventure-like games I generally play.
