ChronicleCast turns your weather, sky, and news into one clean daily briefing.

WEATHER
• Current conditions, hourly forecast, and 6-day outlook from the National Weather Service
• "Feels like" temperature, humidity, UV index, and air quality (AQI)
• Aurora (Kp index) forecast — know when the northern lights might be visible
• Nearby earthquake activity and official NWS weather alerts
• Animated radar loop, sunrise/sunset times, and moon phase

• Top headlines from a curated set of RSS feeds — customize the list to follow exactly the sources you want

MULTIPLE LOCATIONS
Track weather for more than just where you are — search by city or zip and add as many saved locations as you like. Your feeds and saved locations sync automatically across your devices with iCloud.

HOME SCREEN WIDGET
Small, medium, and large widgets keep today's forecast, hourly outlook, sunrise/sunset, and moon phase one glance away — no need to open the app.

Built for iPhone and iPad, with a two-column layout on iPad in landscape and Split View.

ChronicleCast doesn't require an account, doesn't show ads, and doesn't track you across apps.

### 1.1 — 2026-09-19

- Much faster launch: the dashboard now loads in a fraction of the time it used to.
- Each saved location's weather view now shows its own local news headlines.
- New "Clear Cache" option in Settings, plus times showing when weather and news will next refresh.
- Fixed the UV Index card sometimes disappearing or showing an inaccurate reading.
- Severe weather watches (like Tornado Watch) no longer show a wall of raw text — just the key details.
