### 4/5 — Bisher die beste App zum Thema

*2026-08-08, version 2.5.0*

### 5/5 — Useful, enjoyable, well worth the low cost

*2026-05-16*

This is my favorite app of this kind. It offers many ways to measure and provides great insight into the results over time. For a single purchase I’ve benefited from every update. Thanks Tyler!

**Developer response:** I appreciate you leaving a review. If you ever have feedback for how I can improve Chronolog to make the best watch accuracy and timegrapher app, please let me know!

### 5/5 — Great app

*2026-05-08, version 2.2.1*

Super useful, fun to use and a great value with no subscription. I

### 5/5 — Pleased

*2026-04-18, version 2.1.0*

So far I’m very pleased with the app. The audio tick detector seems to be reproducible and the best part is you’re not roped in for a subscription. That I like. I’m happy to give Tyler his seven dollars one time payment for what this offers

### 5/5 — Perfect for true enthusiasts

*2026-04-07*

Fantastic app for true watch enthusiasts who like to track movement accuracy and set their watches down to the second with atomic time. It’s an app I use multiple times throughout the day and I really enjoy that the developer is still providing updates. Well worth the few bucks for the premium version. The latest update was also a big improvement Highly recommend!

**Developer response:** I appreciate you for using ChronoLog to manage your collection and measure accuracy of your mechanical watches. And I extra appreciate you taking the time to leave a review! Don’t hesitate to reach out with any feedback.

### 5/5 — Great app for casual and dedicated enthusiasts

*2026-03-24*

This app is great. I like to get in the weeds with my hobbies (stats, tracking metrics, keeping files) and this is a great tool. It provides in depth user functions but in an easy to use and intuitive interface. The paid version is very fairly priced and is worth every penny. Highly recommended!

**Developer response:** Thanks for leaving a review! I’m committed to making ChronoLog Watch Accuracy the best app for mechanical watch enthusiasts and feedback from folks like yourself helps me to do that!

### 5/5 — Use it every day

*2026-03-22, version 2.1.0*

I use ChronoLog every day to set my watches by and it’s great. The beat feature makes it super easy to count and click at just the right second.

### 5/5 — Superb

*2026-03-15, version 2.0.0*

ChronoLog stops me going down a slippery slope of buying a dedicated timegrapher.

### 5/5 — Neues Update - Stark!

*2026-03-11, version 2.0.0*

*2026-03-07*

### 4/5 — Easy way to measure your automatic watch’s accuracy

*2026-03-05*

I have tried a few apps that aid in tracking your watch’s accuracy, and this one is definitely one of the better ones. First of all, it’s easy to take a measurement - due to its “smart prediction” and big (easy to hit when you’re staring at your watch) button. It also has a clock section that helps when setting the time on a watch, as well as tracking other time zones, GMT, etc. Plus, it has a refined UI and a reasonable price, so it’s been pretty useful!

**Developer response:** Thanks for leaving a review! Hopefully you’re enjoying the improvements I’ve made since you left it!

### 5/5 — Exactly what I was looking for

*2026-02-11, version 1.9.9*

Great little app that helps me keep track of the accuracy of my watches (and very accurately for different positions). Easy enough to use.

### 5/5 — Simple, straightforward, functional

*2026-01-25, version 1.9.9*

A very easy to use app with intuitive, easy-to-use functionality. Well done.

### 5/5 — No subscription! Best watch accuracy app

*2026-01-16, version 1.9.9*

Other apps promise a lot, and don’t deliver. This is the best and simplest app. It is a one time payment while others charge the same amount monthly.

### 5/5 — an absolute steal for the functionality

*2026-01-13*

this is my first review on the app store in YEARS. i really can’t remember the last one i did. for the price of entry for this app you get full forever access to catalog your watches with their pertinent data, purchase date, price paid, etc. and with very easily tracking of how slow or fast your watches are running with historical data to see trends over time, as well as the perfect analog clock WITH haptic feedback per second to set your watch right on time very easily. app is attractive and minimalistic to a degree with only the important info displayed. this is the perfect app for someone wanting to casually keep up with watch accuracy.

**Developer response:** Thanks for the review! It's a labor of love to build and maintain this side project. Hearing from people who enjoy it is a great reward.

### 1/5 — Keine Funktion

*2026-08-14, version 2.5.0*

### 1/5 — App Does Not Know What a Watch Sounds Like

*2026-08-02*

I cannot recommend ChronoLog.

My biggest complaint is with one of the app’s headline features: using your phone’s microphone to analyze the sound of a mechanical watch.

Apparently, the algorithm does not have a firm grasp on what a watch actually sounds like.

As a test, I repeatedly said the word “click” into my phone’s microphone, gradually speeding up as the session went on. ChronoLog dutifully analyzed my performance and eventually reached the conclusion that I was not speaking at all—I was, in fact, the proud owner of a catastrophically defective mechanical watch.

According to the app, my entirely fictional timepiece was beating at roughly 18,000 BPH and losing about 1 hour and 32 minutes every single day. I admire the confidence. Faced with the choice between “this person is obviously talking” and “this is the worst watch ever manufactured,” ChronoLog committed to the latter.

The app never stopped to ask the obvious question: “Could this possibly not be a watch?”

Beyond that, I struggle to see the value in many of the other features, especially now that the app has abandoned its free trial in favor of an upfront purchase.

Take the newly released “Wear Log.” Every time you put on a watch, you tell the app. Every time you take it off, you tell the app again. In exchange, the app rewards you with an exquisitely detailed historical record confirming that, yes, you wore your watch.

Curious which watch you wear most often? Unable to glance down at your wrist over the course of several weeks and form even a vague impression? ChronoLog has a painstaking, manual, bespoke workflow for exactly that.

The app feels less like a tool for watch enthusiasts and more like an experiment in seeing how many ordinary activities can be converted into data entry. If future updates teach the microphone the difference between a mechanical escapement and a guy saying “click” over and over, I’ll happily give it another look.

**Developer response:** Thanks for your feedback! You seem slightly misinformed about how audio processing works. If you care to learn, I have a detailed technical write up on my website covering how the audio capture works.

Keep up the good work!

### 1/5 — Don’t buy premium

*2025-12-30, version 1.9.7*

Wasted $5. I expected a watch accuracy app to measure bph. It does not. Read the fine print.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2024-10-19, version 1.5.3*

No instructions!

### 1/5 — Not easy

*2024-09-14, version 1.5.3*

I could not find out where the instructions are. Checked the menus but I don’t understand how to check accuracy. Not intuitive in my opinion

### 1/5 — Impossible à faire fonctionner

*2024-05-02, version 1.5.2*

A devenit inutilă…

### 3/5 — Fee

*2026-07-18, version 2.4.1*

you should just make the app paid from the beginning instead of forcing you to pay to continue using it.

### 3/5 — Not as good after last update

*2026-03-23, version 2.1.0*

After the last update I feel the app’s UI is way less intuitive and I’ve also noticed some issues with data input:
- Problems with currency, lift angle and bph input in watch’s detail sheet. (Now that bph has been included, there could also be an option for quartz).
- Graphs and measurements way less intuitive and cluttered.
- WearLog feature. While a nice addition, is not as user friendly as in other apps.
- Archived watches are now shown with the rest.

### 3/5 — Fundamentally flawed

*2026-01-07*

This app measure very accurate timepieces against the SYSTEM TIME of a iPhone which deviates from atomic time quite randomly(+2-2 daily). Having paid for the app, I really wish it could at least take the measurements from atomic clock just to give me peace of mind.

It freaks me out to see a spring drive to gain 2 s overnight. What actually happened was the system time falling slow for 2s.

**Developer response:** Version 1.9.9 (in review) has improvements to the atomic time service.

The measurements should be against atomic time. I’ll investigate this potential issue.

You may find you can get support more efficiently via the contact options in the app as opposed to leaving negative reviews.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Best app I’ve tried yet to track my watches

*2026-08-22*

This app pretty much does all you could ask: logs your wear time, tracks your watches accuracy by both manual input and the ability to take a picture, as well as work as a Timegrapher which admittedly I haven’t tried that feature since I have an actual Timegrapher. The other feature are pretty much flawless and the app is laid out extremely user friendly. I really like the fact that it gives you stats on what watch you wear the most/least, most recent, and what hasn’t been on your wrist in a long time. Just buy this app you won’t be disappointed

### 5/5 — Great App. Great Price.

*2026-07-28*

Amazing app. Does what all the other apps do but more for so much less money. This app/tool is worth so much more than the $4 one time payment. Other apps charge a monthly fee of like $6 but do less than this and that just crazy. My favorite features are the ability to see the movement of the watch in 3D and the vibration clicks per seconds help me set the accuracy so well. 10/10 app. If you’re a watch enthusiast or even just starting the hobby I couldn’t recommend this app more.

**Developer response:** Thanks for taking the time to leave a review! I'm glad you feel that it is a good value for the price. I'm very proud to deliver a premium product and experience for watch collectors without exploitative subscription pricing. It makes it harder for me because I don't have money for marketing like my competitors, but I hope word of mouth can do the job :)

### 5/5 — Best Customer support ever.

*2026-07-23, version 2.4.1*

At the beginning the application did not work perfectly but after contact with Tyler started working as expected. Strongly recommended.

### 5/5 — Výborná aplikace

*2026-07-16, version 2.4.1*

### 5/5 — Thoughtfully Designed, Sleek App

*2026-07-16, version 2.4.1*

Makes it easy to log my watch every morning, as far as I can tell it’s very accurate. Support small developers and buy this app! Well worth the money.

### 5/5 — You Need To Take Time For This App

*2026-06-19, version 2.4.0*

This app is precisely the app that I’ve been looking for. The fact that it’s a one time payment is rad and the developer is super responsive too.

### 5/5 — Amazing & Well Designed Watch App

*2026-06-17*

I tried a couple of the watch apps on the store and this one is the best. I like the layout, as it is very easy to use. Logging your watch time/accuracy is easy. The dev also just recently made some cool updates, including some graphics to show watch internals. I really like the simple clock interface as well. Some of the other watch apps are missing this key feature.

**Developer response:** Thanks for using my app and taking the time to leave a review! I have fun building and maintaining this app and I’m happy you are enjoying it. If you ever have any feedback on how I can make it even better, please reach out!

### 5/5 — Highly recommended

*2026-06-10, version 2.3.0*

Best in its category! The developer consistently listens to user feedback. I can only recommend it!

### 5/5 — This by far one best app available on App Store

*2026-06-05, version 2.2.1*

I purchased on my Android device decided purchased Apple OS version , is very stable and by far best in App Store very well polish and with support sync to atomic clock . I noticed Apple version offer landscape mode compared to Android device and been using for over year now I have collections of over 40 watches and surprisingly I was able to migrate my backup of watches from Android to Apple kudos to Tyler excellent and well polish app

### 5/5 — Works

*2026-05-17, version 2.2.1*

Great app the free version provided enough usefulness to be worthy of upgrading to the paid version.
