## What is Chronos Cooking?

Chronos Cooking is a dashboard of cooking timers, built to cook several pieces at once without ruining any of them.

Name each timer — ribeye, duck breast, chicken, salmon — start each one independently, and watch everything on a single screen. The compact overview shows all your timers at a glance while you're at the grill.

EVERY TIMER IS COMPLETE
• Countdown timer or stopwatch, your choice
• Audible flip reminder at exactly the right moment — halftime, or an adjustable split for asymmetric cooking (duck breast, skin side longer). After you flip, the timer becomes the countdown for side two, restarted in full even if you flipped late
• Progress bar with a flip marker
• End-of-cooking alert with overrun tracking, ringing until you dismiss it

COOKING TIMES COMPUTED, NOT GUESSED
The built-in calculator suggests a duration and a flip point from cooking charts: meats, fish (salmon, tuna, white fish), shellfish (shrimp, scallops), sausages (merguez, chipolata, Toulouse), your target doneness (blue rare to well done), and your cooker: pan or griddle, gas, charcoal or pellet barbecue, oven. Thickness on the pan or grill, weight in the oven. One-tap visual selection, plus quick presets for common cuts.

ALERTS THAT ACTUALLY RING
Notifications are scheduled in iOS: they ring even when your phone is locked or the app is closed. Times are computed from real timestamps — your timers stay accurate in the background and even survive an app restart.

AI ASSISTANT — ENTIRELY OPTIONAL
If you have an Anthropic API key, describe your cut in plain words ("2 lb rib steak, 1.5 in thick, charcoal grill, rare") and the assistant suggests a duration, a flip point and a tip, added to a timer in one tap. Without a key, the app is 100% functional, offline, with no account and no ads.

Food-safety note: suggested times are indicative. For pork (63 °C / 145 °F) and poultry (74 °C / 165 °F), only a core-temperature reading with a thermometer guarantees doneness.
