## What is Chuck Fluff?

Chuck Fluff – Fly Fishing Journal
Chuck Fluff is the personal fishing log built for fly anglers who take their sport seriously. Record every session in detail — location, weather, conditions, gear, and every fish you land — then review your history, spot patterns, and build a record of your time on the water.
Log every session
Capture the details that matter: session name, date, duration, weather conditions, wind speed and direction, temperature, rod and reel, and freeform notes. Drop a precise GPS pin on your spot or use your current location.
Record every catch
Log each fish individually with species, weight, quantity, and method. Build a complete picture of your catch history over time.
Review and reflect
Browse your session history, sort by date, fish count, or total weight, and edit any session at any time. Attach photos to relive the moment.
See the bigger picture
Your personal dashboard tracks total sessions, fish caught, and weight landed. Charts break down your catches by species and over time. A map view plots every pinned location so you can see where you’ve fished at a glance.

This update brings a range of improvements based on real-world feedback from anglers in the field.
Smarter Session Logging
Start and end times now replace a simple duration field — Chuck Fluff calculates your time on the water automatically. Night fishing past midnight? No problem, the app handles it and flags it clearly.
Better Weather Capture
Temperature is now entered via a smooth scroll wheel covering -15°C to 40°C, so you can accurately log those cold early morning sessions without workarounds.
Improved Notes Experience
Notes are now added via a dedicated editor sheet, keeping the session form clean and making it easier to write longer entries without getting trapped by the keyboard.
Richer Dashboard
The Dashboard now includes two new sections — My Records, showing your personal best catch weight per species, and My Favourite Method, showing which technique lands you the most fish for each species. The catches chart now focuses on your last 12 months of data for a cleaner view.
Settings & Help
The Config tab has been replaced with a new Settings & Help section, including a built-in how-to guide and full privacy policy — no need to leave the app.
