## What is Chui?

Chui records the meeting you are in, transcribes it and writes the notes.

No bot ever joins your call. Chui records from the device in front of you — your iPhone or Apple Watch in the room, your Mac or Windows PC for a call online, or a browser tab — so there is nothing for the other side to see and nothing to admit into the meeting.

HOW IT WORKS

• You press record. Chui keeps recording with the screen locked.
• You jot two lines as you would on paper — a name, a number, what you promised. Don't try to write the notes; this is the raw material.
• Afterwards Chui merges your lines with what was actually said and hands back a short summary. Not forty minutes of transcript to read.

IN THE LANGUAGE YOU MET IN

Chui transcribes a meeting in the language it was actually held in, and writes the notes in that language: English, German, Spanish, French, Italian or Bulgarian. An English word in the middle of a French sentence is expected, not treated as a mistake, so a meeting full of «deploy», «sprint» and «churn» comes back with those words in it. The application itself speaks all six.

WHO SAID IT

Chui separates the voices in a recording and lets you name them once. Named people build up across meetings, so you can ask what you and Ivan agreed six weeks ago.

ON YOUR WRIST

The Apple Watch app records on its own and hands the recording to your phone afterwards. The phone stays in your pocket.

ASK ABOUT THE MEETING

Connect Chui to Claude or ChatGPT and ask in your own words — “what did we agree with Ivan?”. The answer comes out of what was actually said, not from a note somebody managed to type.

WHAT HAPPENS TO A RECORDING

A recording goes to Chui's servers to be transcribed and summarised, and no provider we use is permitted to train a model on it. Calendar access is read-only — Chui cannot change anything in your calendar. You can delete a meeting, everywhere it exists, and your whole account, from inside the application.

You are responsible for having the consent of the people you record. Requirements differ between countries and some require the consent of everyone present.

CHUI PRO

Chui Pro is an auto-renewing subscription: 9.99 EUR a month, or 99.99 EUR a year — the App Store shows the price in your own currency. Payment is taken by the App Store, it renews unless it is turned off at least 24 hours before the period ends, and it is managed and cancelled in your Apple account settings. The free plan is ten meetings a month and thirty days of history — after thirty days an older meeting locks rather than being deleted, and nothing is ever thrown away. Chui Pro lifts both: unlimited meetings, and your history kept for as long as you keep the account.

### 5/5 — Great for staying organized

*2026-09-26*

Love it! It makes it easy to record and organize my notes so I don’t forget important details. So easy to share with my spouse any details about a school meeting, vet appointment, medical appts etc. Love the calendar integration too.

## Frequently asked questions about Chui

### How does Chui record meetings?

Chui records directly from the device in front of you, such as an iPhone, Apple Watch, Mac, Windows PC, or browser tab. This ensures no external bot joins your call, and nothing needs to be admitted into the meeting.

### What languages does Chui support for transcription and notes?

Chui transcribes and writes notes in the language the meeting was held in, supporting English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, and Bulgarian. It can also handle mixed-language input.

### Can Chui identify different speakers in a meeting?

Yes, Chui separates voices in a recording and allows you to name them. These named individuals are remembered across meetings, enabling you to ask about specific agreements with people.

### How does Chui handle meeting summaries?

Instead of providing a full transcript, Chui merges your jotted notes with what was said to create a short, actionable summary. This focuses on key takeaways rather than lengthy text.

### What are the limitations of the free plan for Chui?

The free plan allows for ten meetings per month and retains history for thirty days. After thirty days, older meetings are locked but not deleted. The Pro plan removes these limitations.

### How much does Chui Pro cost and how is it billed?

### What is the age rating for Chui?

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.0.5 — 2026-10-11

• Ask Chui about your meetings and watch the answer arrive word by word.
• Step away mid-answer and it is kept; you get a notice when it is ready.
• Questions you asked about a meeting now sit under its summary.
• After a meeting from a calendar invite, email the summary to the people on it. You see exactly what goes first.

### 1.0.4 — 2026-10-10

• Chui now speaks Polish and ten more languages, and summarises each meeting in the language it was held in.
• Ask Chui about your meetings, right in the app.
• A recording stops by itself after 8 hours, with a warning ten minutes before. Choose 2, 4, 8 or 12 hours, or no limit, in Settings.
• After a phone call interrupts a recording, Chui gets the microphone back sooner.
• Fewer meetings fail: Chui tries again by itself.
• Each meeting in the list shows how it was recorded.
• If the microphone is off for Chui, one button opens the right setting.

### 1.0.3 — 2026-10-07

• Labels: sort your meetings by project. Add a label from a meeting, see it on the meeting's row, and narrow Meetings to a single label. Once you have ten meetings, Chui suggests labels and adds them to finished meetings itself; each one comes off with one tap. Labels are part of Chui Pro.
• Keep typing in Notes after a meeting has ended, and the summary is rewritten to include what you added.
• Leave a note on someone in People for the next time you meet them. It appears at the top of the briefing Chui prepares before that meeting.
• Chui now uses what was said to pick the right calendar entry for a meeting, and a title you chose yourself stays as you left it.
• Chui can now be used in Hungarian, and a meeting held in another language, such as Polish, gets its summary in that language.
• All reminder settings are now on one page, Meeting reminders.
• Adding a file, adding a label and deleting a meeting are in the meeting's ⋯ menu, and an attached photo opens full screen.
• A meeting that reached Chui in full always goes on to its transcript and summary, and playback tries again by itself after a brief hiccup.

### 1.0.2 — 2026-10-01

• Bring in a video: share it to Chui from another app, or tap Import and pick it from your files. Chui makes a meeting from its sound, with a transcript and a summary.
• Send a call recording to Chui straight from the Share button of a note in the Notes app.
• Long meetings recorded with the phone locked are now kept in full. A meeting whose phone stopped sending part-way through is put together from the sound that arrived.
• Press Stop on the Lock Screen and the meeting arrives with its transcript and summary within minutes, without opening the app.
• If a recording was interrupted, Recover now keeps working while the phone is locked.
• One sign-in can hold several accounts, such as a personal one and a company one, and you can switch between them in Settings.
• Settings is tidier: each section opens as its own page, and a new Team group shows who is in your team.
• Teams: Chui now emails your invitations, and an admin can let colleagues from the company's own email domain join without approving each one.
• Subscription shows the prices even when the App Store is slow to answer, and Restore purchases takes effect at once.
• Tapping Sign in with Apple twice no longer stops sign-in with an error.

### 1.0.1 — 2026-09-26

• Before a repeating meeting you have recorded before, Chui prepares a short briefing.
• A long recording that holds several conversations can be split into separate meetings.
• Smaller improvements throughout.
