I’m constantly reminded that Jesus Christ leads the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints through living prophets and apostles. While the app is fairly functional, it is disappointing that the notification feature forces the user to see every news headline someone at Deseret publishing thinks is important. I want to keep the notification feature on in case something important happens (i.e. an Apostle passing away, a temple announcement, a change in church policy, etc.) However, there is no setting to be notified only of important things. Instead, I get notified several times a week about content that isn’t remotely newsworthy. I get that there is content meant for inspiration in Church News, but getting notified for things that aren’t ‘news’ is irritating. ### 2/5 — Language *2020-04-17, version 1.0.12* I don’t know how it has happened but my app is all in Spanish instead of English. Even though we got I a week later by mail into So Cal, it has brought us closer to our whole church family world wide. Now with the app it’s nice to carry it with me where I go. These are hard to fix. I cried today because my husband said he had eight more radiation+ for his cancer. I fell backward. Yes, I held it in for over year. Today was joy. The talk and flowers during the BYU Presidency Devotional made my heart stop feeling sad and gave me great peace.
