## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.0.8 — 2026-09-09

• Face-to-face mode now recovers on its own after a phone call or a locked screen, and keeps the screen awake while you talk.
• Language pickers show each language in its own script alongside English, so it's easy to hand the right one to a visitor.
• Added Persian (Farsi) and Malayalam.
• Clearer language settings: see at a glance whether auto-detect is on and which languages need a tap.
• A tidier Settings screen with plan details in one place.
• Fixes: a broadcast no longer starts paused after the last one was stopped while paused, and the connection to the caption service recovers faster after a network dropout.

### 1.0.7 — 2026-09-02

Settings, reorganized. Your church, languages, and listening options come first. Engine choices moved under Advanced, where your plan picks the best ones for you.

Spoken at the front. Tell the app which languages are spoken from the front, and captions follow whoever is talking. One language means you switch by hand, as before.

Hearing aids and earbuds. Listeners can choose to hear the live voice in their own language alongside the spoken translation. It's under the Listen button on the viewer page.

Natural voice for every language at the front. The real-time translated voice now covers all of them, not only the ones being translated away from.

More languages. Hebrew, Greek, Romanian, Swedish, and Swahili join the list, and Filipino captions are fixed.

Also fixed: repeated audio after a reconnect, premium audio not returning after a pause, and the language list on the broadcast screen.

### 1.0.6 — 2026-09-01

• Face-to-face mode, reimagined: no more push-to-talk. Both people just talk — each person's words appear (and can be spoken aloud) in the other's language, with natural back-and-forth. Available in 10 languages; other languages keep the classic hold-to-talk.
• Auto-detect now follows up to 3 spoken languages — captions switch automatically to whoever is speaking.
• If cloud translation ever becomes unreachable mid-broadcast, the app switches to on-device translation automatically and keeps going.
• Livestream and display captions in Settings: overlay links for Wirecast/OBS, plus full-screen caption links for a TV at the front of the room.
• Portuguese now correctly labeled as Portuguese (Brazil).
• Smoother transcripts and stability improvements.

### 1.0.5 — 2026-08-26

Live translated captions now appear for broadcasts with up to four languages simultaneously - previously, adding a third language turned off live previews and slowed down translation slightly. Small reliability improvements.

### 1.0.4 — 2026-08-25

This update makes live captions faster and steadier from start to finish.
• Captions now appear on screen noticeably faster as you speak
• Long services are more reliable — lines no longer get stuck or disappear during extended broadcasts
• Better recovery from brief connection drops: the broadcast heals itself in seconds, no restart needed
• Translation is smoother and more consistent, with fewer visible corrections
• Many under-the-hood reliability improvements for all-morning use
