Other than that, it’s a better app than most of the other ones i’ve tried. Fix that, and it deserves a 5 star rating. **Developer response:** Thanks so much for the feedback! It keep saying “type 6, null is not an object”. U deleted it and put it again and still says the same thing. Churchy Date was a simple sign up and easy to navigate. Love the attributes part. Answering the question with some realistic answers. To me, they are good conversation starters. The only thing Christian about most of the users on other dating app is their religion status. Churchy Date asks for very specific criteria related to the church lifestyle; not just a box saying your Christian. You don’t have to write an entire life story to share with swippers where you stand in the faith. It’s very frustrating to think that you have to put your pictures in every time you open the app. Please someone fix that and the filters; It should stay on the profile. It’s not a good app as of right now. **Developer response:** Sorry that you’ve run into this bug that a handful of folks come across. Fortunately, it’s an easy fix! Log out, close the app, reopen and log back in. Everything should save correctly from now on. We’ve also made it easy to report any issue you’re having with the app: simply shake your device to send a bug report. You can also tap “Get Help” from the settings screen. ### 1/5 — Ummm, the glitches are sinful… *2023-11-13* The glitches in the app are unacceptable. I would not recommend this app at its current state. Given other reviews have said the same thing over 2 years ago, I’m not hopeful it will change. **Developer response:** Thanks for the feedback. Please contact us at churchydate.com/contact, or email info@churchydate.com ### 1/5 — Blessed Trinity *2023-09-02* I’m the churchy point section there is an option between The Trinity and Just Jesus… 😵‍💫 I find it highly concerning that you (the app) would consider someone a Christian who is non Trinitarian - that is so dangerous I cannot even. The Trinity is God’s very being and all over scripture!!! If someone is not Trinitarian then they are not a Christian and need to repent!!! Simple as that!!! This is one we do not consider Jehovah’s witnesses and Mormons Christian’s. This is why I also see many “apostolic” movements to be heretical because they start moving in that direction. !!!!! **Developer response:** Whether you believe it or not, the basic tenets of the Christian faith does not include if someone believes in the concept of the trinity. There is nothing in scripture that disqualifies anyone from being a follower of Jesus based on their understanding of The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit. The option in the app is there because some people have a different understanding and it lets users avoid those people/matches who believe differently from them if they so choose. To ignore having this option in the app would make our app like every other app that just lets users check “Christian”, instead of going into specifics. We’d rather you know who you’re talking to upfront, and find a match that lines up with the specifics of what you believe. You should have that choice, just like others should have that choice. ### 1/5 — This app has too many problems *2022-11-26, version 1.0.10* First I couldn’t upload my pic, it wouldn’t work correctly. I emailed for help, I deleted and downloaded app again. It still didn’t work. I deleted my profile and decided to try again a month later. I created a profile and now when I try to log in it buffers for 10min or more (not exaggerating) and then I get an error message. I’ve been trying to get back in for 2 weeks. Now my pic is out there and I can’t use the app or delete my profile. This app appeared like it would be something great to try but each time I’m disappointed. **Developer response:** We appreciate the feedback, and we're sorry this has been your experience so far. Also there’s only one dominant race on there 😑 I prefer Black men. None in my area are on the app. I’m 26. I only want to marry 25-31 year olds who are within 50 miles of my city. It makes total sense not to want to date an 18 year old boy at my age. I’m not expanding my preferences for more options in that direction. Good idea but sad start truthfully. I thought it was a spoof on dating apps, but I found it wasn’t. I always wanted to know more spiritual aspects of a person, if I’m going to be on these apps, aside from “I’m a Christian,” and Churchy Date has done it. I love the swipe left and right, and even when there are no more choices wording…I’m not giving those away, you have to join to find out. But the options, in my opinion, seem to be a bit more…a bit more…forthright, that’s the word.lol Even though I haven’t made a match yet, Churchy Date makes it more interesting than other sites.
