You should also allow us to control the fan to turn it on when we want to turn it off when we want that would help us with our big humidors to move air throughout the humidor. If you got one month to update your app, if not, I’m gonna build a much better one. ### 2/5 — Issues *2025-05-08* App shows a notification but that tab under accounts does not work. Got some weird messages yesterday. ### 3/5 — Ok for bare observation. *2025-05-04* It would be nice to calibrate the oasis with the app so I don’t need to open the humidor. ### 3/5 — Needs a major adjustment in the firmware and App *2025-03-13, version 4.4.2* Overall the unit works well and keeps the humidor in the proper humidity zone and keeps that consistent. However, the major issue is that the unit itself generates a small amount of heat in the operation of the fan unit. This skews the temperature readings and is off by +3 degrees. The firmware and the app should allow for the compensation of the fan heat generation and allow the user to manually adjust the temperature readings in the application to allow for the difference between the actual temperature in the humidor and the temperature the internal thermometer reads. Please add this function and then you can justify the cost of the annual subscription service. Otherwise your cost should only be $10.00 per year for simple humidity monitoring. ### 1/5 — Stupid design *2025-02-21, version 4.4.0* Where you need to enter the name for the device, nothing indicates what you need to enter. If you cancel, the device hangs. From here you can’t connect to WiFi, unless you reset it. No pages or manual describe the process how to do this. Assuming you figure out yourself, and come across a video on YouTube how to setup the device where they say the last step is the name, then you need to activate the device. The device is lost, I can’t see it again, hopefully after activation on there I’ll be able to see it again. If my assumption is correct, Would not it be self explanatory to list the device in pending status instead of hiding it? Anyway, the subscription started fine, so they took the money but I can’t use the device. Just poor implementation ### 1/5 — Unreliable *2025-02-19* App crashes frequently, notifications about humidity or temperature never seem to come. The device itself (I have the magna 3.0) is loud but functional. Anyone who believes that 2.4ghz wifi is obsolete needs a serious reeducation and perhaps a life coach. Seems like a bunch of tired old men with nothing better to do. Sure the UI could use an update but for an optional feature and With 4 humidors and over 1600 cigars in my personal Collection there’s no products or services i trust more. The interface, the features and the functionality are all redundant. The developers expect a subscription payment against the use of this app which does nothing but allow you to monitor the temp and RH of your device which you buy off them. ### 1/5 — Complete scam *2024-09-25, version 3.1.0* This app has got to be a complete scam. The app was one of the features of the unit I was most excited about. So far the humidor works great, but the app is a total bust. It downloaded fine, I skimmed the Wi-fi product guide and saw I needed my network name to not have any spaces so I updated my network name. It still wasn’t working so I reread the instructions and saw “Our devices do not support 5ghz networks.” Ugh, an hour into trying to get it to connect and learning more about networks than I ever wanted to, I cannot use this app… but thanks for the 30 day trial. ### 1/5 — 30 day free trial? *2024-02-28, version 3.1.0* What’s the use of the 30 day free trial if I can’t use the app? It will brick your unit if you try to setup the wifi. ### 1/5 — Devise good, App trash! *2026-04-23* Just got the cigar oasis excel up and running. Wanted to use the app, to monitor temps, and humidity from my phone, an upgrade from the previous model that kicked the bucket on me. Well the app doesn’t work. There is so many hoops to jump through to get it to connect, and then when you try to connect it using the Cigar oasis WiFi network that the device provides it just came up an ! flashing on the device. It quit putting out the WiFi network and the instructions for when this happens says to cancel out everything and try to reconnect it. But that doesn’t work, because it won’t put out the network to connect it to. It won’t connect to my home WiFi network because it doesn’t have the security the app wants. So I’m at a loss with it. The only thing I’m now gaining is the larger water tank compared to the previous model. So longer time between refills is what I’m expecting. This thing isn’t cheap, and to not be able to use all the perks, that’s paid for to enjoy, is a partial false advertisement. The app needs to be reworked so there’s no hoops. It should just connect to your home device instantly, and begin working. I had to go through like 20 hoops to get to the end, and all just to reach a point of it not connecting properly, and not working anyways. You guys need to do better. The app’s UI for adding devices is clunky and the steps are unclear until you find the step-by-step instructions. Humidifying unit is slow to share data via WiFi and update itself when changes are made within the app. Displaying of devices once connected is hit or miss with some devices not showing up. Love the set it and forget aspect of this device, confident that my precious cargo of sticks are being well cared for. Had some issues with getting the App to work but after a few interactions with customer service all is well. Highly recommend this product. ### 5/5 — Worked great until update *2021-12-01* UPDATE: the issue has been resolved and in the last several days, impacted users have received several progress updates via email. Issues occur but their transparency and communication are superb. The company even extended subscriptions of the impacted users by 1 month to make up for the inconvenience. Great company and great product! I’ll be a customer for life. App and device worked great until the new update. The app now won’t connect to the device and tells me to contact my administrator. Uninstalling/reinstalling the app and disconnecting/repairing the device to wifi have done nothing. Hoping that I’ve gotten no response to my support email (days ago) because of the holiday…will update review if I hear from support (or if I don’t). **Developer response:** We hope to CCCCCCCYA update. Was oasis bumpy at first? Absolutely. Did they listen to their users and make the issues go away? Yes. The firmware updates to the unit made a huge difference and now the UI updates for the app have gone a long way of turning this into a premier cigar humidification suite and for that I’m happy. The recent updates to it are a nice improvement to it’s appearance and functionality. The threshold settings are a big plus for me so I get notifications when it’s time to change a cartridge. If you do have issues, their customer service (Dan) is outstanding!! ### 5/5 — Wonderful Update! *2021-08-20* I purchased my Cigar Oasis Excel 3.0 in early June 2021. The device came with a free trial of this app. It was neat to think I could monitor my humidors outputs through my phone. However, once I downloaded and set up the app, I was disappointed. Functionally it worked. Yes it worked as advertised, but it was very simply designed and presented. Looked like something a first year development student would design for a project. Nothing I cared to renew when the time came. Fast forward 2 months, and I had an issue with my humidity dropping that I didn’t realize until it was too late and severely damaged some good sticks I had purchased. So I decided to pay the $20 a year to renew the app just for peace of mind in being able to monitor the device better. Wow and I glad I renewed when I did!! This app is beautiful now! Both form, function, and aesthetics are wonderful imho, especially compared to the previous version! Now this is what I expected originally and more. Very happy with the update and the system as a whole.
