Half the time it won’t import slomo movies, it can’t seem to crop movies anymore. Hipstamatic makes some cool apps and this was one of them. But, it appears they’ve abandoned this one because it’s clearly been broken for a long time. What a shame! Hipstamatic-people: if you’re reading this. Please fix your app. When you fix apps we trust you enough to invest money on your other apps. But one day you could no longer add video or combine clips due to an error. Well that error has been there for ages and it’s seriously disappointing that no one cares to fix this. You guys are super truly! Socrates is my favorite film so far followed by Beard which always makes me think of So Cal beaches love the colors. I am also loving this app version because of variety of features that were not there in the earliest version that I can remember i.e..capture setting from 5 seconds all the way to 60 seconds. Video resolution HD or standard and stabilization. Keep it up Cinematic. ### 5/5 — What's in my creative pocket? Cinematic!! *2016-10-04, version 1.5.10* as a video artist, this application allows me to do awesome things that I can't always do with the still picture. The application is very easy to use and there are $.99 extra effects that you can utilize for your video production. it doesn't take long before you are making some truly cool artistic videos and sharing them with the rest of the world. I really love that I can pick my own music to my videos and I am really impressed with the overall results of the video quality. the application keeps it fun and simple and i use it when i'm not working on still image artwork. The application is completely stable and the support team is phenomenal. I love what Hipstamatic offers on the camera side and I certainly love with Cinematic offers on the video side. I would love to see more video editing options and more options for photo implementation into video in the future. All in all, I love this app. and feel it allows me to deliver my art expression as I envision it. ### 5/5 — The Dope Shorty *2014-07-21, version 1.2* This APP kills it for easy use, a professional look & if- regardless of whether you are an amateur or professional- if you're smart and think like an editor- a good filmmaker has to think like an editor before & WHILE (especially with this APP which makes it fun & a challenge) you're shooting, not just thinking about getting the shot and stringing it together later, but if you have your shot list in your head before you press that button & think about what you're shooting while you're shooting it, taking your finger off just to change set ups, you can make the editing process later that much better & more fun. I love editing and was especially happy to see that when you add music you can scroll through the song and find that perfect section to use. Score being such a huge element to any film, other APPs that promise "add music, too!" And then only allow you to add the 1st however many seconds long your clip is to the clip drives me CRAZY. GREAT JOB! There's only 1 thing that remains to be seen because I haven't gotten to where I need to try it yet, but will soon. After I do, I'll be sure to come back and report on it, because if it works, it would make this APP not just the dope short format film APP but the dopest. ### 5/5 — new features make this absolute best... *2014-07-06, version 1.1.1* I have enjoyed KILLING my battery with this app. I have an almost hour long video of my kids doing all sorts of things. It's got our trip to Reno, Lake Tahoe. it's got our trip to monterrey, and LA. I have been worried that it will crash and I will lose everything, but so far it's handled it. It does take a while to edit it though, but thats to be expected. please add some more film cartridges. I will gladly purchase them. I am unaware of any other [iPhone] app that can capture snippets of time and make it look like a variety of cinematic dreams. I purchased all of the additional filters within a day of playing with 'Cinamatic', and they are well worth it. The quality of the different filters is second-to-none. I would hope for upgrades in a variety of areas, but I'll let the developers do what they want for now. The filters are not all free but they are worth the .99 cents. There are great choices. I can wait for more filters. I love the fact that I can upload my own footage and still capture footage in the app. Now the only reason why I gave this app 4 rating is because I can't upload it Instagram. I don't use the apps that are linked but I can still save the edits and upload myself. Lol. You shoot and edit on the fly, so it's probably not an app geared for control freaks. On the other hand, if you're like me and enjoy the spontaneity and unpredictability of things like Hipstamatic, then this might be just what you're looking for. It would be nice to have more image control up front.
