WARNING !!! *2023-04-14* Really classic product support from Easton/FOX... only use this app with legacy iOS devices. I was able to get firmware flashed using IOS 12.5.7. Do NOT use anything newer then that. ### 1/5 — Deleted the firmware *2022-04-09* Update. App is not being updated to support newest versions of iOS and now crashes every time you open it. I cannot express how frustrating this app is. The firmware update failed and deleted all firmware on cranks making the power meter unusable. ### 1/5 — Firmware updates still an issue *2021-09-25* Did not read the reviews on this product prior to purchasing it. Local bike shop installed power meter about six months ago and used without issue until recently when I decided to do a firmware upgrade. I’m using an iPhone 11 promax for the record. Multiple failed attempts to update firmware. Power meter no longer functioning. Read previous reviewers suggestions to try from an android or older iPhone.Had an old iPhone laying around-I believe it was a 5S - loaded the cinch app and nailed the firmware upgrade on first try. After updating the firmware, I am having no problems communicating with the power meter using my 11 Pro Max. Not tech savvy enough to understand what the problem is however using an older model iPhone worked for me. Good luck to anyone else having this problem and thanks to the other posters for sharing your suggestions. ### 2/5 — Needs Visual Improvement *2021-05-11* It works, but the user interface is terrible. Looks like it came from the 90’s. I’m sure the developer can do some simple and quick fixes. ### 1/5 — FIX THIS APP *2021-02-26* I’m having the same exact problem as everyone else: firmware updates fail, rendering powermeter bricked. $600. I’m being told to send it back for warranty, but I’m almost 10000% sure that it’s all to do with the app. I was told by tech support that the issue is generally non existent on Androids. Just. Fix. This. App. For iPhones. Pleasssseee!! ### 2/5 — Needs updating to work with new phones *2021-02-11* I had the same trouble with the firmware update. I used one of the reviewers hack to get it working. You need to use an older iPhone, iPod, or iPad. I had to use an older iPod for one update and an older iPad for the other update. Once you get the firmware updated it works fine. ### 3/5 — Not great, but it works ok. *2021-01-21* Like other users have posted, I had trouble updating the firmware. I tried over 50 times one day, and it continued to fail with no indication as to why. The next day, it worked on the first try to my surprise. I think the difference was that I held the phone about 8 inches away from the power port on the spindle instead of 4 ft. Being very close to the spindle might be important if it’s installed on the bike. Also, the app is prone to crash when the power meter is disconnected from the app, and the touch menu controls don’t work very smoothly... ### 2/5 — Firmware update failures *2020-12-18* Brand new installed today by local bike shop and I had the exact same issues with firmware updates as others; it fails randomly leaving the power meter non-functional until you can complete an update successfully. Was using an iPhone 12 Mini and being a person that works in tech, I am familiar with the issue of new technology not playing well with things that are a bit older. I went and grabbed my Moto G6 for which I have for work and my suspicion paid off, firmware upgraded first try in the matter of seconds. Aside from the firmware update issues, does calibrate and function as a dashboard to spot check that it is reporting data ### 5/5 — Worked great for me *2020-09-25* I read the reviews and was nervous to update my firmware. My phone/app found the cinch power meter in seconds and seamlessly downloaded the firmware. No biggie. As expected. ### 1/5 — Killed 2 Spindles with Firmware Updates *2020-06-28* Rendering them both useless “no firmware installed” message now in the app, no ability to update or make either power meter functional.
