Back at my hotel on Wi-Fi on my iPad won’t open either. I’m sure Cincinnati zoo need the money more than I do, but they should still be ashamed of selling something so broken. ### 1/5 — Next to useless *2023-08-25* You get no more info from it than you do from the signs in the zoo--because it's just some schlomos uploading zoo maps. Look at the Version text--it says Omaha. Are you in Omaha? I'm not. **Developer response:** Hello 'Morph - We do have an Omaha Zoo map, but we are not sure what you mean by Version text saying Omaha? That is another one of our apps, we have many of them - we are sorry if you were confused by the listing of other zoos in our inventory. Also, we have real-time wayfinding, which I don't think you get from signs at the zoo. Perhaps you are confusing our app with others who don't provide real-time directions, information, images and a beautiful map overlay of the zoo. We really wish you wouldn't write such a derogatory review when we go to extreme lengths to make this app the best it can be. Map had very little information and did not show locations that I searched for **Developer response:** I am sorry you feel that way. We are in the midst of updating the app and we hope you give us another chance. All locations are being updated now and should be completed very soon. You should see all the new locations the zoo added already (like the new shelter areas and the new carousel location). We are trying our best to bring you amazing interactive maps, we hope you give us another chance. Email me anytime with comments or suggestions @ Michael@bettermaps.app ### 1/5 — Incomplete + difficult to use *2023-05-11* This app is terrible, and you don't even find out until after you pay for it! There are irritating icons indicating food, exhibit, etc which largely-obscure the map so you aren't able to see an overview of the map when zoomed out. When zooming in, there are some sections of the zoo on the map that are blank, but in real life there are trails. Because all the icons block the overview of the zoo, you can click on the menu, select an exhibit, and "navigate" to it. However, it doesn't give you directions, the color of the line you're supposed to follow is almost the same color as the background, and there are no easy to follow waypoints. Also, the app of the zoo map is not the same as the physical maps at the zoo itself. This was the biggest waste of $0.99 I have ever spent! ### 1/5 — Don’t waste your dollar *2022-05-29* If you have the thought- I’ll just pay the dollar to get the map, don’t. There are labeled banners over every point of interest to the point you can’t actually view a zoomed out version of the map and identify where you want to go. They aren’t as bad if you’re zoomed in on your current spot but then you can’t see where you want to go **Developer response:** We thought that by having different labeled icons, then you could see the different POIs closest to you. Please understand: the POI icons are not banners - as banners give the impression that there is advertising and there is absolutely NO advertising on this app. But other users have asked for less POIs to clear up the map. So this is what we have done. Thank you so very much for your feedback - we hope that you like the app now that we have cleared away some of the POIs. ### 1/5 — Do not get!!! *2022-05-23* Nothing on the map was correct **Developer response:** Hello - I would just like to say that we have taken extra care to try to have everything on our map coincide with where they are in the zoo. I want to make sure you only have the best experience with us). Thank you for your feedback. ### 3/5 — Mostly helpful *2023-05-29* Map is out of date. Went on 5/25/2023 and the map was not current. Had to search for specific animals for a school field trip and some animals were not listed and could not be searched - the Komodo dragon was not listed at all. We followed the map to the Arctic fox but the enclosure no longer existed. Same for the polar bears. We had to ask zoo employees for assistance several times. A positive though - It was nice that the map showed you what direction to face, and once it’s all up to date, I think it’ll be a 5 star program. **Developer response:** Hello @mijacogeogkf - thank you for your important and valuable feedback. And I want to apologize and tell you that we are on it. We have already visited and started to make important changes on the app. We are adding all the new places in the zoo and we have started taking down the ones that no longer exist. I truly hope that you and all the zoo visitors give us another chance. Our app will be updated and a whole new map layer is being created and should be available very soon. Thank you again!!
