I want to use this app again, but I am unsure if this will be getting another update. I really hope so as it’s simple and aesthetically pleasing! But completely understand if that’s not in the cards. Great app, great developer, great service for many years. It works perfectly for tracking movies and the UI is definitely the best one I’ve seen between tracking apps. The lists are also a nice feature. However, it seems impossible to remove movies from lists. This has been super annoying cause I wanted to get rid of one movie that was in one list, but for some reason now I have it there 6 times. I can ignore this by just using a new list, but it seems like just letting us remove movies shouldn’t be a big feature request. ### 5/5 — Necessary app for any movie fan *2019-11-17* I use this app constantly to Mark movies I want to see. While the movie trailers are playing I am adding interested ones to the app. Brilliant ### 3/5 — Disappointed… *2019-09-16* I read "Comments" on the screenshots but it’s impossible to write my own review and access my own comments in the future. It’s not something too difficult to implement, so I hope this will be added in the near future… I’ve seen other apps doing a better work than this one and be free. **Developer response:** There are currently no plans to support this feature. Comments are actually a lot of work because we have to parse each comment text for different format identifiers and spoiler tags and then figure out a way to show that correctly. It becomes more difficult if you think about spoiler tags within spoiler tags, and so on. I'm working on some updates to fix various crash reports I've received though. ### 4/5 — Great companion to Television Time *2019-02-22* Cinema Time is a great app for tracking all the movies you watched or want to watch. Search or select the movie from Discover tab, add to a list, click check after watching it, then rate it. It is hampered solely by Trakt API, a double edged sword that gives apps like Cinema Time and Television Time a platform independence but also a source of bane for endless syncing issue. Fortunately, syncing works okay most of the time. But be prepared for logging out of Trakt or even reinstalling the app periodically to resolve issues. Back to Cinema Time... I’ve used many Trakt based tracking apps, many paid. And something about this developer’s app just clicked with me. Clean and modern UI. Hard working developer continuously updating and adapting latest iOS features. Always responding to questions. The app just works the way I expect, minus aforementioned Trakt API which every other apps suffer from. ### 3/5 — Début prometteur mais manque de support par la suite *2019-01-09* La première version était prometteuse avec à bon design et de bonnes bases, mais il est malheureux que depuis il n’y ait eu quasiment aucune mise à jour ou ajout de fonctionnalités. Un manque évident est le fait que la synchronisation avec trakt ne se fasse pas automatiquement et qu’il faille à chaque fois aller dans les option et la déclencher manuellement. Good start but subsequent lack of support and updates. The initial version was promising with good design and basic functionality, but it is the shame that since then there has been little updates and no now functionality. Sometimes it lacks cover art, and basic info. No links provided to imdb or anything so get your info elsewhere. **Developer response:** You can open Trakt or IMDB from the share menu from the movie info page. The app allows you to view the same data as your Trakt profile and edit that data. You can mark movies as watched, add them to a list, or add metadata for the movies you own. The app also supports iOS features such as widgets, notifications, and more. My source for the data does not provide getting translated data and release dates for bulk data, so fetching this data during a sync would add 5-10 minutes extra every time. Terrible move for someone who paid for your app. ### 2/5 — Nur Trakt.tv Frontend *2020-01-30* Als deutscher Nutzer ist die App lediglich als Trakt.tv Frontend zu gebrauchen. Sämtliche Zusatzfunktionen wie Kinostart oder Sendetermine sind nur auf den US Markt, Sender und Streamingdienste ausgelegt. Die App bringt gegenüber der Trakt.Tv Webseite keinen Mehrwert. **Developer response:** Hi there, you are correct that this app is basically a front end for Trakt. Being that, Trakt doesn’t have dates for US produced shows outside of the US release dates. This isn’t Trakts fault either, their data source is strictly against collecting alternative network information. So it’s not possible at the moment. The benefit of the app though is that it’s native. You get access to widgets, offline data, nice UI, and more. ### 2/5 — Where’s the play button?!?! *2019-07-23* I found it nice at first, but when I wanted to watch a movie the play button wasn’t anywhere. So I went to go find another movie... same thing. How can I watch the movies??? To the creators, I spent money on this, I deserve the play button to watch the movies😂 **Developer response:** Hi there, this app is not for watching movies but to keep track of the movies you have seen, own, or want to see. The only thing you can play from this app is trailers. If you want to watch a movie, the app has iTunes links to the movies, or a link too Trakt.tv which has all the streaming links for a movie that you can see if you already pay for to watch. Best, Television Time support ### 2/5 — Not worth it - updated *2018-10-06* Update - My review still stands - the UX design is still flawed, checking off a movie still requires opening the info page and clicking again. Original review: This app is poorly designed and is in no way similar to the tv app. It should not take three clicks to check off a movie as watched. It should not require manual filters to sort out the watch list and the to-watch list. Every time I use this I am disappointed. **Developer response:** Hi there, While I am working on improving the experience to Mark movies as watched, you can currently change the watch button behavior to your liking from the settings menu. But can’t find any way to contact dev, so I’m trying here. I only have two issues, I just want to be able to delete/remove a movie from my not watched list. For some reason a “ghost” Gladiator 2 is in my list (no movie poster) and I just want to delete it, unticking “queued” makes no difference. I’m able to group & organize my movies & movie franchises the way I want to. If the developer & his team could someday add a video game app for us gamers to keep track of their backlog & completed games, it’ll be the trifecta & sign me up for that! Keep up the great work! ### 5/5 — Missing iCloud sync *2021-01-14* The app is missing iCloud sync otherwise it’s great app. I use it on my iPhone only because of missing iCloud sync option. Also, unless I missing something there is no way to refresh a movie to get an updated release date. I have to delete the movie from my watch list then re-add to get the updated release date. **Developer response:** Thank you for the review! Was für mich noch fehlt ist in der Übersicht aller Filme meiner Sammlung schnell zu sehen welche Filme ich bereits gesehen habe. Außerdem ist die Übersetzung nicht an jeder Stelle perfekt.
