Will use Vue instead ### 1/5 — What a joke *2026-03-29, version 10.33.5* I signed up,payed my subscription activated the account.when I went to book a film it said I was not old enough to book one ( I am in my 60,s) the IT dept said they would sort it,6 months later still paying my subscription and still not sorted.IT Dept said cancel the account and retry as they couldn’t fix it so I did I retried 3 months later after 4 attempts finally got the account to work except they are now taking 2 payments a month I have tried to email them but I only get the same reply (send copy of bank statement ) 4replies later I am still no further on and they are still taking 2 payments a month.CUSTOMER SERVICE,NON EXISTANT no way to contact a person ,contact numbers don’t work there email reply doesn’t seem to get to anybody that cares .They wonder why there numbers are don’t increase WHAT A JOKE, MAYBE TRADING STANDERS MIGHT HELP AS A LAST RESORT ### 1/5 — We where not allowed to watch a movie with a trusted adult *2026-02-27, version 10.33.5* I’m really disappointed with this experience. We were told we could watch a movie, but when the time came, we weren’t allowed to. There wasn’t a clear explanation, and it felt unfair and unorganized. We had been looking forward to it, and the sudden change was frustrating. If there were rules or restrictions, they should have been explained clearly from the beginning. Instead, it felt like the decision was made at the last minute without considering how it would affect us. Have had the Cineworld app for a long time. I opened the app today and was greeted with an advert for a puff film about the woman who is married to Donal trump. Constantly losing my unlimited subscription although the card is there. Lost count of the number of times I’ve removed and re added it. Happy to take your subscription but after that…awful. As much as I like the unlimited product, an app from such a large entertainment company has no place missing so many features. ### 1/5 — No Apple Wallet or Add to Calendar *2025-12-06, version 10.33.4* Update as at 6th December 2025 Cineworld remains obsessed with keeping things in app, presumably to control the data. But for those of us who like Add to Calendar and Apple Wallet, it’s a real pain. All I get is an error stating that something has gone wrong. The app feedback button in the app does not work. I could go on…. Menu’s are unusable. Unlimited option doesn’t work 90% of the time have to reload about 6 times for it to work. No cinemas are showing and nothing comes up when I put anything into the search bar. Can’t really see the point of the app if I can’t locate a local cinema to buy a movie ticket from. ### 1/5 — Membership scam!!! *2026-06-04, version 10.33.5* Sign up to the membership at your own risk - the deal is great if you got regularly to the cinema, but they actively don’t respond to your request to cancel!! The don’t allow you to cancel online either, so the only route is through email (which is buried!!!) and now they’ve taken a month and recharged me for the following month because they’ve taken so long. Still no sign of reply, just automated emails saying they’ll get back to me. However, it does have one major problem & that’s the back button function when trying to book tickets or searching for a film or cinema, etc. Sometimes it works. Sometimes it doesn’t. Sometimes a single tap works. Sometimes multiple taps work. Sometimes you have to close the app & restart it. This needs sorting as it’s very irritating when trying to use the app. ### 3/5 — Flakey but otherwise good *2026-07-30, version 10.33.5* The app works well most of the time, but it really struggles whenever a popular new film goes on sale. I’ve repeatedly tried to book tickets for the 18:30 showing of Spider-Man: Brand New Day, only to be met with a never-ending loading spinner before eventually receiving the message: “Ticketing Unavailable. Oops! We’re afraid ticket sales aren’t working right now. Please try again in a few minutes!” This isn’t an isolated incident. It seems to happen almost every time a major new release goes live, which is exactly when people need the app to work. It’s incredibly frustrating, especially for Unlimited members trying to secure good seats before screenings sell out. Please invest in improving the reliability and capacity of the booking system during high-demand releases. A cinema booking app should be at its most dependable when excitement is at its highest. I don’t think it is much to ask to make this app work in both portrait and landscape mode.
