My request is to add PARTS (A,B,C,etc.) to the Progressions tab, with loop counters, so we can construct whole songs. Then it would be incredible as a songwriting tool and composition theory machine. General MIDI support would also be nice. The ability to select external MIDI devices for rhythm and tones would also be useful! I’m saving a star for those features. I play a Baritone Ukulele and although the chart goes some way in showing the chord shapes it does not help if one plays a concert or tenor Uke. Also, the touch responsiveness (on iPhone 14 pro) is so bad as to make the feature of clicking chords on the main wheel unusable. Sometimes touching a chord doesn’t play a chord sample, other times it will. I use it today and there is no sound. I have turned the volume up everywhere I can think of and still no sound. It was great while it lasted. Will have to find another app to use. Hopefully the next one will last more than a day. :-) **Developer response:** Hi Bama52! So I think I figured it out. The app’s sound was working, but not if your phone was on silent mode. I just pushed an update (1.2.2), that will now let the sound work even when you are in silent mode. Hope this helps you! Developer - to fix, don't set a fixed width OR rotate the circle based on chord selection, such that the selected root chord rotates to the top, thus making the cut off edges not an issue. Other chords may also be set to higher pitches. However, The piano chords in the progressions tab are the right pitch to play along with on a guitar in standard tuning. For $1.49 you never need a book of paper to check the Key or Chord progression you want. Not only is it simple but you can listen before you even play your guitar to see if you like the progression. Thank you ### 5/5 — Simple and useful. *2023-03-07* There’s a book called ‘The Chord Wheel’ published by Hal Leonard that illustrates the same concept as this app. While it’s a good book to have on hand it has one important deficiency: it doesn’t show any fingerings or even the notes for the particular chords. For someone who isn’t very familiar with music theory, this can make it difficult to use the book properly, potentially requiring lots of cross referencing, googling, and general research into theory. This app solves that problem by presenting the circle of fifths/chord wheel side by side with sample fingerings for each chord. Simple, effective, and useful.
