### 5/5 — Thank you

*2025-08-02, version 1.1.8*

It’s rare that you get a really simple and functional app that just does one thing really well. Shout out to the developer for designing and developing this purely so that they and others can enjoy it without profiting.

### 5/5 — Excellent

Perfect for me. Simple and includes diminished chords. Triads and staff are helpful as well. Thank you!

### 5/5 — Great App!

*2025-06-29, version 1.1.8*

Love the app! Really helps solidify the circle of fifths. Not sure if this will be in future updates but it would be neat to have the chords play in different voicings, like C1 all the way to C4 or even inversions.

### 5/5 — Very helpful

### 5/5 — Good overall

*2025-03-20, version 1.1.8*

It’s a fee app and I think is good enough, it gives you the pentagram in G key. But I think is limited to piano for me I mis the guitar cords

### 5/5 — I’ve been looking for a free version like this for years!

*2025-03-18, version 1.1.8*

This is exactly the app I’ve been looking for to help with music creation. The best part is that simple features aren’t locked behind a pay wall lol. I can’t express how good it is to know that someone out there who made this app believes in music accessibility and demystifying creative technical tools.

### 5/5 — Simple and Functional

*2025-03-12, version 1.1.8*

Thank you dear developer to name a clean simple and functional app. I hope it works on iPad too

### 5/5 — Love it!

For a guy who has played guitar for years but is only now getting to understand music theory this has been, and always will be, a fabulous and indispensable tool.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Poorly written app with no accessibility support

*2024-04-04, version 1.1.8*

Sadly, for anyone with visual impairments making use of the built-in accessibility features of the iPhone, this application is sadly useless. I hope the developers may take the time to make this application more accessible in future releases.

### 1/5 — Huh?

*2023-03-17, version 1.1.8*

Without instructions or explanation, this is useless to me

### 1/5 — Dont works in my ipad IOS 8

*2021-07-16, version 1.1.4*

Dont works in my ipad IOS 8

### 3/5 — Useful but has some quirks

*2024-03-15, version 1.1.8*

This app is a generally useful reference, but some things are displayed incorrectly. For example, the key of F# is displayed correctly in the key signature as having 6 sharps, but the notes (or rather chords in this case?) on the circle of fifths are F# G#m Bbm B Db D#m E#. That is not the proper way of notating F# and can confuse music students.

### 4/5 — Just missing the chord diagrams

*2025-10-09, version 1.1.8*

This app would be 5 starts perfect if it just showed you the chords you were hearing.

### 4/5 — Great for a free app. Could use some explanatory notes

*2025-10-02, version 1.1.8*

Thank you to the developer for this useful app. I play a chromatic instrument and haven’t really studied chords but am interested in writing harmonies and counter Melodie’s that work for tunes played in mixed instrument band. My one request is that some information about the diminished on/off option would be useful. E.g I know the Major scales and their minor and parallel minors ie Cmaj Am, C Minor (not shown) but on the wheel a third inner layer shows with Bo and this doesn’t relate to anything I know about.

### 4/5 — alphanumeric code is missing

*2025-01-16, version 1.1.8*

Please, add the alphanumeric encoding of the circle for DJs, (1A, 2A, 3B, etc), it’s gonna be the best app among the others. Also, you may indicate that some of the keys that are not close to the one is highlighted may also match.

### 4/5 — Excellent application.

*2025-01-05, version 1.1.8*

My suggestion would be to be able to rotate the circle of the notes and instead of turning the quadrant.

### 4/5 — Great lil’ tool

*2024-08-14, version 1.1.8*

Would be a 5 star app if the sound output could be something other than simple piano.

### 4/5 — Nice app, but . . .

*2024-02-01, version 1.1.8*

Cool app! A good start, but I’d prefer if the key signature didn’t change when selecting other diatonic chords (ii, iii, IV, V). For teaching diatonic harmony (which is what I’d like to use it for), it would make most sense to simply leave the selected Tonic key signature in place, and when you select ii, iii, IV, or V, the key signature stays static, and only the triad shows up. After all, I don’t need to see 2 flats to know that the ii chord in F major is a G minor triad. It already would be with F’s key signature of 1 flat.
That’s how diatonic harmony works.

### 5/5 — Can’t recommend enough

*2026-04-04, version 1.1.8*

This is how educational/utility apps should be. Super easy to use, deep enough settings to get what you need, runs smoothly, and no ads

### 5/5 — Game changer

*2026-03-07, version 1.1.8*

This is such a useful app, so easy to just play around with key modulation ideas and your understanding of the circle of fifths

### 5/5 — The best one out there

*2026-03-06, version 1.1.8*

This works soooo well!

### 5/5 — Woah.

*2026-03-01, version 1.1.8*

I absolutely love this app for tinkering and helping me out with my piano. MUST DOWNLOAD!!!!

### 5/5 — Well Done

*2026-01-24, version 1.1.8*

This is a great app. Easy to use.

It would be even better if you could choose to change all of the Flat Major Chords to Sharps. Currently you can only choose making G flat into F sharp.

And if they could add a testing feature, it would facilitate one’s memorizing of the circle.

### 5/5 — Thank you

*2026-01-15, version 1.1.8*

A simple app that does exactly what it says. Thank you for not asking me to buy buy buy before I even know what up.

### 5/5 — Perfectly Simple

*2026-01-11, version 1.1.8*

This is just what I was looking for. I wanted a simple free app to display the circle of fifths while I was practicing, and this does just that. Excellent job!

### 5/5 — Simply perfect

*2025-12-16, version 1.1.8*

No frills but at the same time perfect amount of features, very easy to bang out tune just finger tapping through the chords

### 5/5 — Great app

*2025-10-11, version 1.1.8*

Great app to play chords

### 5/5 — Handy

*2025-09-30, version 1.1.8*

Not complex, just a simple app that keeps you from having to access the internet every time you need to find chords within a particular key.
