## What is CircleMap?

Stay connected with the people who matter most. CircleMap lets you share your real-time location with family, friends, and trusted contacts, organized into private circles you control.

REAL-TIME LOCATION SHARING
See where your circle members are on a live map. Background location updates keep everyone informed, even when the app is closed.
Motion-aware tracking automatically adjusts update frequency based on your activity to save battery.

CIRCLES FOR EVERY GROUP
Create separate circles for family, close friends, coworkers, or travel companions. Add members by phone number or invitation. Set up temporary circles that auto-expire for trips or events.

VOICE CALLS
Call any circle member directly from the app. Audio calls use peer-to-peer WebRTC for clear, low-latency conversations with native iOS call integration.

IN-CIRCLE MESSAGING
Send messages within any circle to coordinate plans, check in, or share updates without leaving the app.

EMERGENCY SOS
In an emergency, trigger an SOS alert that instantly sends your precise location to your emergency contacts via SMS and push notification.
A 5-second countdown lets you cancel if triggered accidentally.

PRIVACY YOU CONTROL
 - Turn location sharing on or off per circle
 - Switch between exact and approximate location (~1 km)
 - Set sharing schedules by day and time
 - See who viewed your location in the Activity Feed

SHARE LOCATION LINKS
Create a temporary link to share your location with anyone — no app required. Set a duration (1 hour to 7 days) and choose exact or approximate precision. Revoke anytime.

OFFLINE READY
Cached data keeps the app functional even without an internet connection. When you reconnect, everything syncs automatically.

CIRCLEMAP PRO
Upgrade for unlimited circles, unlimited members, 30-day location history, unlimited safe zones, driving reports, and more.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.2.2 — 2026-11-01

Updated App Store information for location sharing, private circles, and family connection features.

### 1.2.1 — 2026-09-29

This update adds Polish, opens the right person when you tap them on the Home Screen, and takes you straight into a circle when you join from a link.

### 1.2.0 — 2026-09-13

* Improved UI
* Better location tracking

### 1.1.8 — 2026-05-08

Smoother live map. Pins update every few seconds while someone is watching, and battery rests when nobody is. Tapping a pin now follows that person as they move.

Service mode. Spin up a short, time-limited circle and share a link by text so customers can track you for the session without sharing their location back. Pause, resume, or end the session at any time.

Quicker switching. The circle picker now opens as a compact dropdown instead of a full screen.

### 1.1.7 — 2026-05-06

Smoother live map. Pins now update every few seconds while someone is actively viewing so locations look live, not lagging.

Better battery. When nobody is watching the map, your phone stops sending frequent updates. Power is spent only when it's actually being used.

Faster pin refresh. Tapping a member on the map now refreshes their location in a second or two instead of waiting for the next scheduled update.
