## What is Circles?

Circles helps you remember the people in your people's lives: your friends' partners, kids and parents, their names and birthdays, and who to congratulate.

Your friend Alex has a daughter, Emily. She turns 9 tomorrow, and Circles reminds you to message Alex, with a greeting ready to send.

• Each person with their whole circle: spouse, kids, parents, siblings, in-laws
• Today at a glance: birthdays and anniversaries today, this week and this month
• One daily heads-up at the time you choose, only on days when something is coming up
• Ready greetings in English, Spanish or Russian; send them with Messages, WhatsApp or any app
• Ages that keep up, even when you only know the year roughly
• Import birthdays from your contacts in one tap; Circles never changes your contacts
• Gift ideas and gifts given for each person, a budget and what you spent this year; two weeks before the birthday, a reminder to get the gift
• Ask a friend to fill in their family with one link, or share a whole circle with your partner; it comes into Circles in one tap
• A Home Screen widget with the next date
• Encrypted backup to a file, protected by your password

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
Everything stays on your iPhone. No accounts, no ads, no tracking. Backups are encrypted on the phone before they go anywhere.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.0.5 — 2026-10-30

• Gifts: ideas and gifts given for each person, a budget and what you spent this year; say an idea out loud instead of typing
• Two weeks before a birthday, a reminder to get the gift; the widget shows your idea
• Ask a friend to fill in their family with one link, or share a whole circle with your partner
• Settings → Help: “How Circles works” and “Rate Circles”

### 1.0.4 — 2026-10-29

• One person, one card: link a phone contact someone in the app already has, and the two cards become one — shared by every circle they're in
• Add someone straight from your phone contacts; people already in Circles join the circle as they are
• Going back to someone you've just seen returns to their card instead of stacking screens
• A light halo round the photo; planets fill the outer orbits first

### 1.0.3 — 2026-10-29

• The people in someone's circle now orbit their photo on the card — tap a planet to open that person
• Comets now and then fly across the card and the Today summary
• Prefer stillness? Turn animations off in Settings

### 1.0.2 — 2026-10-23

• Links from store events and promotions open Circles Pro right away
• Small fixes and improvements
