## What is Circuit Gauge?

Enter the load, the run length, the conductor and how the cable is installed, and Circuit Gauge returns the working current, the cross section that carries it, the reserve left over and the voltage drop along the way. Thirteen tools cover the rest: breaker rating and trip curve, RCD and RCBO selection, earth fault loop impedance with a disconnection check, a multi-segment planner for feeders that branch, conduit fill, motor starting current, resistance, maximum run length, power conversion, wiring audits and running costs. Every result explains what the number means and what to do when it falls outside the limit.

Work is organised by object — apartment, house, garage, workshop or commercial unit. Add the circuits and the app sums the load, applies demand factors, checks it against the incoming breaker and balances the phases. Lay the board out module by module on DIN rails to size the enclosure, then record commissioning readings for each circuit: insulation, continuity, loop impedance, trip time and polarity, each checked against the limit for that breaker. Board photos, site notes and inspection reminders sit alongside.

A built-in reference covers cable marks, conductor colour coding to IEC and North American practice, and panel symbols. Charts show where the power goes and what it costs to run.
