Why is it a £5 minimum when either a wash by itself costs less than £5 or a wash and dry is £5 plus? Makes balancing out and adding stupid amounts of money to an app which rarely works and will only be used two or three times a week very annoying financially for students or people that aren’t well off… it needs changing but whether that happens, is a big ask. ### 1/5 — Thieves *2025-04-10* I have never written a review before but I had to to express just how awful this app is. I will never live somewhere again that has it because it has ruined my opinion of my flat. The machines are always broken. They stop working mid cycle so you are just out the money. I cannot tell you how much money this app has STOLEN from me!!! How do I go from £8 to £1 after one normal load? Every time I complain to get money back they never respond. And I budget so that I have exact change, so I’ll have to top up the MINIMUM £5 just to waste the rest because I can’t get a refund less than that amount. My hour wash cycle not only leaves my clothes soggy and Barely drained but takes an extra hour sometimes. The app lies ! It says my cycle is done but u go to collect your mediocrely cleaned clothes to find another 30 mins left. Furthermore , the price to just dry my clothes is criminal. I have to ration my clothes out across the 2 radiators I have in my room and toilet and bare with a soggy smell for a few days. The signs in the University said to use this app to do laundry, so I believed them and put 5£ into the app. The app never connected to the machines, I tried contacting customer support but because I have a US phone number it blocked me. I had laundry to do today, loaded my clothes, and opened the Circuit Laundry Plus app — but none of the washers showed up, even though Bluetooth was working fine. I tried everything, restarted my phone, reinstalled the app — still nothing. As a last resort, I went to the on-site payment kiosk, but that didn’t work either. I pressed START and tried to follow instructions, but the system just wouldn’t respond or let me pay. Both the app and the machine are unusable. Now my clothes are loaded, I’m stuck with no way to start the wash, and I’ve wasted time and effort. This service is supposed to be reliable — instead, it’s a complete failure. Circuit really needs to overhaul their app and ensure the kiosks actually work. Live chat help desk never connects me to an agent or will connect me after 20 minutes, which by that time I will have already swiped off the chat. There’s a reason why the circuit app franchise is rated so low. Hate that you are forced to use it, otherwise you can’t wash your bloody clothes. ### 1/5 — CHECK THIS IS THE RIGHT APP! *2025-06-28, version 1.1.3* This is not the latest update. This might not be the correct App for your building. There are 3 Circuit laundry Apps. Beware if you must load £5 (min) onto the App and then if you can’t use it (helpline was useless) there is a £2 refund fee. Inaccuracies with finishing times bc tell me why tf it said finished and I went and it had 14 minutes left um HELLO?! Also if you don’t have a laundry card it’s harder to use, when you try and add money it doesn’t work, so you have to take off and add a new card every time I had to call my blummin bank and they said it’s an issue with the app, PLUS you can’t stop the machine once it starts, like at least they should have like some kind of code to open it or something but noooooo ts keeps on rolling ### 5/5 — Best app ever!!!!! *2024-09-29* I used to have to spit wash all of my laundry (hawk tuah style) which you could imagine would take years to do. But after finding this amazing app my life has changed for the better no longer do I have to must up baths of saliva to clean my clothes with this app all my problems are solved. I just want to personally thank the creator of this app for their work and know that the bad reviews are all just bots. P.s. If she ain’t trynna hawk tuah I ain’t Trynna talk tuah 🥜🥜🥜🍑🍑 ### 5/5 — Tadpoles can do better customer service and run a business *2024-06-06* After using these services, I have decided that getting a washing machine is the first thing I need in my new home because it’s FARR better than talking to it’s customer service who acts like they have only half a brain cell and keeps telling us we are wrong when we tell them their stupid machines are not working while being literally are in the laundromat!!!!!! All this coming from a person who never goes out of their way to leave a comment but these guys are SOOO BAD SO IRRESPONSIBLE AND ON TOP OF THAT SO GOOD AT BLAMING THEIR CUSTOMERS that I couldn’t resist ### 5/5 — Works perfectly for me *2023-01-12* Despite the bad ratings from other users, thankfully it works fine for me. Obviously i was skeptical at first but my student accommodation uses this app entirely for the washers and dryers. Just take note that they don’t refund credits that are less than £5.00. I downloaded the wrong app first which is not the Plus version. However, I approached their refund team and they were able to transfer my credits to the Plus app instead. So thank you for that 🙏🏻 ### 5/5 — Much better than the Thames *2022-11-14* Before I discovered circuitry laundry I used to go down to the local river to wash my clothes. The combination of fish, algae, dirt and grime in my local river meant that my clothes never felt clean. This all changed when I discovered circuit laundry, and most recently, circuit laundry plus. The app is easy to use and is much more convenient than my local river. Cheers! That being said, the wash timer in the app is often inaccurate, which is rather annoying… ### 4/5 — please fix your logo *2025-02-18, version 1.1.3* it's got white lines on all sides ### 4/5 — Irritating Quirks *2023-08-22* It’s confusing that it should have a feature which lets you view machine availability, but only if you are standing right next to them via Bluetooth. What’s the point of that? Let it be viewed via wi-fi to save a trip in vain to the laundry room. Despite the horror stories, I’ve only ever had good experiences with customer service - they immediately refunded me over the phone when a machine ate my credit. On top of costing a lot, the times aren’t very accurate, it’ll tell you your laundry is finished when it isn’t as well as not tell you well after it’s finished, that it has just ended. ### 2/5 — Whole system needs improving *2023-10-31* Firstly, I’m going to echo what many have said in regards to minimum top-up, cost of laundry and machines not working. So many times machines are either out of order. Or they take money from your account and you are unable to start them. Then you have to contact Circuit for a refund each time. On one site I had issues with the dryers not drying my laundry. One time I spent over £10 after washing and drying one single load and the laundry was still damp. Each time when I felt the laundry, it was cold. Even staff at the one site were getting frustrated of contacting Circuit due to faults and being told that it was more likely a site issue. Also regards to the cost, what I didn’t get is why on one of the sites was it costing more to wash a medium load than for a large load? I am fed up of having to register a new account each time I change sites because it does not pick up the site change.
