Second of all the app breaks down nearly every week, god forbid student have a reliable laundry provider. Third of all my account has been “locked” for over 2 months now, and when i consulted about it they said it would be getting fixed, well 2 months later i still can’t use the washing in my accommodation this is truely ridiculous, student have enough on their plate with course work, exams and working outside of all this to even afford to live while in education, we truly do not need another unreliable app that never works in our life. I’m having to go out with my accommodation to do my laundry which just isn’t acceptable when this facility was specifically specified for use. I have lived in a property that uses this company for 2 years and there has always been issues not only with the machines but the app. Money disappears from the account frequently, the machines will take the money and then not start so then you have to pay again, sometimes three times and then when you try to get a refund on the money you’ve lost, it’s incredibly long and difficult. Sometimes they’ll just sort it there and then but most of the time you have to wait days before it comes back to the account and not without having to chase too! The customer service team often just repeat the same script and don’t try to problem solve so you just go round and round in circles. Stating that I need to “add more funds” when I put in over the amount needed in order to complete my washing, the following Sunday it will say I have zero funds when I always leave 10 pounds in the app for the next Sunday. I know this due to the fact that I do 2 loads with the same setting. Not only is the customer service provided by the app awful, constantly giving you the run around through extremely long wait times with a machine that does not properly give you the correct information in order to proceed with the calls. The unprofessional customer service that I am provided when you finally do come in contact with them is just stating that it’s “not their department” or to “call back later”. The app also takes ages to load, creating an inconvenience to anyone that tries to add funds or just start their washer/dryer. Shameful on any university that uses this sorry excuse for a company. ### 1/5 — A scourge upon this earth *2025-02-22* If you’ve ever wondered if the act of doing laundry could be curated in a way that leaves you miserable and questioning your sanity, then Circuit laundry is for you. Circuit laundry is the bane of my existence. It is my sworn enemy. I have never used a more dysfunctional app in my life. Will I be able to add funds so I can do my laundry? The world may never know. Imagine the pain of already having a terrible day and then having to use Circuit laundry. I try to be a calm person but this sorry excuse for a laundry service brings out unfathomable amounts of pure unbridled rage in me. Every time I have to use this godforsaken application I lose at minimum five years from my life. Thank you Isobelle ### 1/5 — Utterly incompetent and fraudulent company *2025-02-17, version 4.1.3* I moved to a new student accommodation and was unable to use my circuit laundry account at the new location. I still had credit on my old account that I could not use. I asked for a refund, WHICH CAME WITH AN ADMIN CHARGE. I declined, asked to instead somehow link my account to the new location. I was told over live chat that I was to download a new circuit app instead and that they would transfer my funds. So of course I did. Four separate conversations (for which I had to, for each of them, plug in all my details and wait to be seen to) over live chats, and an hour of faff later, what have they done? Removed the £12 I had on my old account and then also removed £12 from my new account. I NOW SIT AT £-12. I CANT DO MY LAUNDRY. I WASTED AN HOUR AND MULTIPLE TRIPS TO THE LAUNDRY ROOM. I HAVE TO TRAVEL 5 HOURS HOME TO DO MY LAUNDRY. The app does not work in new locations so I am unable to use the accounts money or withdraw it. Terrible company with poor customer service, people on the live chat just hang up on you. ### 1/5 — I would give -1 stars if I could *2025-07-13* This app is entirely a scam. I was only going to use it once, but I got a pop-up saying that the minimum you can add to an account is 5 pounds. I thought that would be the end of the thieving, but found out after trying and failing to use this incomprehensible app that I actually needed Circuit Go. The problem? If you are having problems, you are probably using the wrong app. One app is circuit Laundry and the other app is Circuit Laundry Plus. I am on plus I started with the circuit Laundry but it was the wrong app so I used the chat line and they transferred my money straight away to the new app circuit plus. From there, the app tells me what to do, when my washing is finished and how much I’ve spent. I think it’s a great app. I’m not sure why it’s getting so many bad reviews and I can only presume it’s because they are using one of the two apps. Would be better if support Apple Pay, and the laundry price should be lower. ### 2/5 — Eh *2025-01-14, version 4.1.3* It works but it’s too expensive not easy to navigate and use ### 2/5 — Solid concept badly executed *2023-08-12, version 4.0.12* It’s really a hit or miss with this app. If all goes well, your clothes are clean and you’re down £4.7 (wash + dry for me at least). But if you have any issues, don’t expect them to be solved easily. Most on call workers are quite nice even if you call at midnight, though it did take a few calls across multiple days to figure out my VPN was conflicting with the app. However, one time the machine ripped a hole in my turtleneck and I reached out by email. They asked for photos of the damage, pretty standard. But they kept having issues viewing the photos. I mean, we went back and forth across multiple days with me attaching every image type possible (JPEG, PNG, HEIC) in every method possible (mobile, desktop, from camera roll, saved as a file) but “the image types aren’t supported by our system.” Babe, what type IS supported then? After a bit of this they just stopped responding but I’m fairly certain they just didn’t want to refund my money. I would’ve pushed further but I was moving out of my student accommodation and didn’t have the energy. Most people using this app are only on here due to necessity, so I’ll give some advice for new users: -If you have a VPN, you HAVE to turn it off to use this godforsaken app -There’s a minimum deposit of £5 so I recommend doing the math for how many loads you have left towards the end of your stay so you don’t waste anything -I don’t know about other machines but my clothes only ever got dry on the perm press setting -Always do a last sweep, sometimes my socks would get stuck under that gray rubber thingie in the washing machine Okay, good luck y’all --- *Data collected daily from the US App Store and indexed by [AppsHunter](https://appshunter.io/).
