### 3/5 — Nice Sleep Tracker

I’ve used a Circul Ring 2 for 11 months and found the following:

The adaptive fit is great and the ring stays put on my finger. I have to wear it halfway between my knuckles for it to get reliable blood oxygen data, however.

Daytime metrics are unreliable and the app is buggy for workouts. I ended up using the ring only for sleep tracking and use an Apple Watch during the day.

Sleep metrics are excellent, including heart rate HRV, blood oxygen and skin temperature.

The analysis is pretty good, and they provide some nice statistics and graphs of my sleep performance. There is also limited Apple Health data transfer. 

I would prefer, however if the Circul app sent all metrics to Apple Health so they can combine that with my Apple Watch data and provide a more comprehensive health overview.

**Developer response:** Please make sure you’ve updated both the app and the ring’s firmware — we’ve already resolved the app crash issue in the latest version.

Since the last update the app crashes and says the ring is disconnected also noticing the battery life is shorter.

There is nothing more frustrating than getting a brand new product. Downloading the app, trying to set up an account, and then getting a service exception that won't let me proceed. So, this brand new ring I was eager to try is essentially useless — I can’t use it or get data from it. I have no idea what data it even collects. Very disappointing.

The real time O2 saturation has been “coming” for some time now. The BP is not a direct measurement but model-based and needs to be constantly validated with a cuff measurement. Seems more of a marketing ploy than actual feature. The battery lasts for maybe 3-4 days at most. Very disappointed.

You guys need to do an update I’ve had my ring for eight months with no problems and you keep doing updates and it gets worse every time the red light on my ring doesn’t even light up anymore so it doesn’t give me my heart rate or SPO2 it’s still tracking data, but the app keeps crashing so you might want to do an update. I don’t know if my ring is broken, but how am I supposed to get in touch to troubleshoot?

Has anyone tried taking the ring off your finger and taking BP measurements or heart rate measurements? Try it! (just keep the ring within a couple of inches from your phone) It gives you the same measurements whether you're wearing it or not! This ring is bs! I had the ring 2 and now the MAX. I was supposed to get a 50% refund upon trade in. Months later I'm still waiting. I really want to like and believe it. I don't and I can't. I'm not sure about all these positive reviews about the ring or customer service. I've emailed and written reviews and no response. Experiment yourselves.

Have you tried using the Sleep Apnea and Blood Pressure Forecast features by tapping the Add (+) button on the bottom bar while the ring’s battery level is sufficient? If so, were the measurements recorded correctly?

In some cases, these issues may be related to low battery levels. We recommend checking the battery status first.

My ring is only 2 months old and has stopped working and can’t connect to the App for 5 days now. Very frustrating and disappointing!

The ring advertising “record every beat” but there is no way to view that data within the app or anywhere else. The app only lets you see 10 minute averages and gives no access to the raw data. It doesn’t write to Apple health every 1 minute which is more often than Apple Watch. However,
If you are in a workout it silos all health data and does not write it to Apple Watch. This completely defeats the purpose of using the ring during a workout because you need it to write to Apple health so you can read the data. Further, it auto detects workouts and doesn’t allow you to turn that feature off. Currently, there does not appear to be any way to get heart rate data during a workout from the ring to Apple health. I would change my review under 2 circumstances. 1. All the data to push to Apple health during a workout in the same way it does during sleep and outside activities. 2. Give access to the raw data. If it records every best, show it! Otherwise how are we supposed to take it seriously. Both of these would make the ring much more usable.

Not sure the bad reviews. This app only works with their smart ring. So far really like what I am seeing. Biggest complaint is that there is too much data. Hard to digest. I want them to keep the data as some of us like it but should have a more easy to read up from ui that calls out trends, positive and quick access to key data. Also having the ability to edit the front screen. 

The circul sense  team is quick on replying to my support questions. Work is actively being done on the app and firmware of the device. Can't wait to see what is coming next.

Currently, we have released a feature that allows you to customize parts of the home screen. For example, in the Overview module on the Home page, you can tap the “More” button in the top-right corner of the Overview section. This will take you to the Overview page, where you can tap the edit button in the top-right corner to drag and arrange the function blocks, choosing which ones appear on your Home page.

In addition, we are currently preparing a more detailed user manual and index description guide. Once completed, it will be published in both the app and on our website. We hope this will help users better understand the features and data provided by the product.
