PLAN A WGS84 GEODESIC
Choose any two points by address, coordinates, your current location, or directly on the map. See the ellipsoidal geodesic between them, inspect initial and final bearings, and explore the true continuation around the world.

COMPARE ORTHODROME AND LOXODROME
Display the shortest WGS84 route beside the rhumb line. Compare distance and constant course while both paths remain visible on the map.

SEE EVERY TERRITORY ALONG THE WAY
Follow countries and seas in chronological order along the route. Expand countries into available administrative levels to inspect regions and smaller areas. Country boundaries are bundled; optional sea and regional packages can be downloaded for deeper offline analysis.

EXPLORE A CHOSEN DIRECTION
Set a starting point and enter a bearing, turn the compass control, use the device compass, or follow your direction of movement. Circulus Maximus shows where that geodesic leads around the world.

MEASURE ROUTE DEVIATION
Use the Cross-Track instrument to calculate how far a selected or live GPS position lies left or right of course. Along-track distance, the abeam point, and remaining distance provide the complete geometric context.

SOLVE A BEARING FIX
Enter directed bearings from two or three known stations to estimate their forward intersection. Optional tolerances reveal the resulting uncertainty area.

BUILT FOR PRECISE EXPLORATION
Calculations use the WGS84 ellipsoid and GeographicLib algorithms rather than spherical shortcuts. Choose kilometers, nautical miles, or miles, and display coordinates as decimal degrees, degrees and decimal minutes, or degrees-minutes-seconds. Core calculations work offline. Address search and optional data-package downloads require an internet connection.
