## What is CirrusMD?

What is CirrusMD?
With CirrusMD, you can chat with a doctor just like you would a friend. CirrusMD is chat-based virtual care that allows you and your dependents to securely message, send photos, or video chat with a doctor from your smartphone or computer.

It’s a convenient alternative to traditional doctor visits. No more waiting for an appointment, taking time off work, or paying the high cost of in-person doctor visits. With CirrusMD, you can connect with board-certified physicians who deliver comprehensive, whole-person virtual primary care that fits your schedule, budget and preferences.

How does CirrusMD work?
The CirrusMD experience is similar to texting. After registering, you can begin securely chatting with a licensed doctor, just like you'd text a friend. Start and stop your conversations as needed and use the platform as often as you'd like.

- Connect to a CirrusMD doctor, 24/7/365, from anywhere in the U.S.
- When it’s necessary, doctors can switch to video or ask you to share photos in the app
- Doctors can refill many prescriptions (controlled substances and certain other drugs may not be available)
- In-app translation for patients with Spanish as their primary language
- Complete in-app chat history for follow-up as needed

When should I use CirrusMD?
Use CirrusMD when you feel sick but it’s not an emergency, for things like cough, fever, sore throat, earache, stomach pain, diarrhea, rashes, allergic reactions, sports injuries, burns, heat-related illness, even issues specifically related to men’s or women’s health.

You can reach out to a CirrusMD physician when you:

- Have general medical questions
- Are feeling anxious or depressed
- Have questions or concerns about a chronic condition
- Want information about health screenings, tests or test results

### 1/5 — Just recommended to see a DR

*2026-08-10*

I gave what was going on and was told to go see another doctor. I’m in training at work and can’t see my pcp and the urgent care doesn’t take my insurance. It’s free for me to use this app and you get what you pay for I guess.

### 1/5 — Frustrated NOT USER FRIENDLY

*2026-03-18*

I registered for my account in February when I needed a doctor and was able to. Today im feel sick again the link sent to my email from February has expired and as of 4hrs ago I still have not been able to get an appointment. I tried to use the ble question mark for help & No customer support available for 3hrs now. When someone is not feeling well and can’t access even an account with no or delayed responses takes away all integrity your app has.

### 5/5 — Fast, easy, and so helpful!

*2026-02-11*

I logged on late at night, around 12:30am and I was able to get help for my questions immediately. I felt like I was asking silly questions but I was taken seriously and Dr. Yer Xiong was extremely patient, helpful, and very kind. I felt reassured right away with great advice and learned the right next steps to take. Overall, it was a great experience and I will keep this in mind any time I need assistance.

### 1/5 — Look somewhere else for care

*2026-02-10*

I used Cirrus because I was having severe anxiety problems which turned out to be panic disorder. They got me on some drugs, but did not direct me to therapy or anything that would have actually helped me.
The worst was that when I checked in to ask about my meds I thought I would not be charged, but was charged $60 for each day that I checked in.
I tried to dispute the problem, but was told I had to send an email, which they never responded even after multiple attempts.
I gave up and decided to pay after having received a final notice. Then their provided phone number no longer worked and their web site was having issues. After hours I was finally able to get my payment through.
I sent multiple emails to all their support addresses. I still have not heard back from anyone.

### 2/5 — Not as great as they promote

*2025-06-13*

They claim to be open 24/7. They are not. They have very limited hours. You can talk to somebody 24/7 but they can’t help you except during certain hours. And expect to be stuck in a chat with them for at least an hour. They are very slow. Also they don’t make follow up appointments. After you chat with them they will want to follow up with you but they will just try to contact you randomly through the app. And if you can’t answer within 10 minutes, if you’re not just available to drop anything you’re doing or stop working anytime they want to follow up, then they will just close the session and your notes. A simple follow up scheduled chat would be more efficient but they can’t be bothered.

### 2/5 — Not very helpful

*2025-03-06*

They claim to be open 24/7 but they’re not. They have limited hours. Speaking to a doctor is OK – it’s a lengthy process but it gets it done. But, they always want to follow up with you but won’t schedule a follow up. They just start a chat without any warning one day and when you don’t respond within 5-10 minutes they cancel it. They expect you to be sitting around all day every day waiting for them to initiate contact. They aren’t very patient-focused.

### 5/5 — Medication Refill

*2025-02-10*

Modas app, not this one, is one the most useless apps for getting anything you need. I found a link to this and was immediately counted to a doctor who helped me fill my prescription for a year. Asked all the regular questions a doctor would ask. Went extremely smooth! (The only thing is I don’t have a confirmation of that or my conversation so now I have to wait and see if my meds actually come) Will
Update if they don’t.

### 5/5 — Kid friendly

*2025-02-05*

I love using this app to get care for my kids.

**Developer response:** We’re happy to see that you had a 5-Star experience with one of our providers. They are the best!

### 1/5 — Useless

*2025-01-14, version 11.8.0*

Tried to get help a few times and was told by doctor they don’t write prescriptions and can’t order blood work. Can get the same answers from a free AI service.

### 1/5 — Depends on your doctor.

*2024-12-16, version 11.7.0*

Just like real life the doctor seems to make the difference. Although the fast replies are great and I
do believe it’s a helpful app I was brushed off by my doctor and slightly degraded.
