I checked it and retyped it in, but the app won’t let me make a account. My email is correct. I’m not sure why it’s doing this. ### 1/5 — AVOID THIS APP! *2024-05-10* This is an app that claims to pay its users for their internet data. It follows a surf-to-earn model, but there seems to be a catch. Upon examining the app's permissions, it only requests access to location data and other unrelated identifiers, rather than cellular or web data. It is unclear what the app is doing with this location data and how the payments are being generated. The app appears to be selling user data to third parties, and the developers have not been responsive when questioned on this matter. The app is affiliated with various other crypto projects in the web three space that are creating AI tools, and it is possible that it is a scheme to generate data from users and sell it to these decentralized AI projects. This raises concerns over ethics since the unregulated cryptospace leaves a lot of room for unknown intentions.
