## What is Čítačka?

The Reader application is intended for Tatra banka clients who have activated the Internet bankingTB service and serves to generate codes for logging in, activating or authorizing transactions in Tatra banka's electronic channels.

The reader is equivalent to the standard Card and Reader authorization and authentication tool, and is equally secure.

The reader can be activated
- Directly in the application - using facial biometrics. For activation, you need PID - personal identification number, a valid Slovak ID card, an SMS code sent during activation to your profile phone number, and a scan of your face.
- In person at the branch
- By phone
During activation, the Reader prompts the user to set a login password, the expiration time of which depends on its complexity, and to set a fingerprint for more convenient login.
The Reader requires an Internet connection for activation and updating. Subsequently, it can also be used offline.

The current version of the Reader application is available for devices with the iOS 15 and higher operating system.

Isn't optimised for iPhone 15 Pro camera. Could not focus on ID card when I was as close as it wanted me to be.

Hence, completely unusable

Application is crashing on iphone 6 ver. 8.1.3 when I want to initialise application via QR code. It's actually happen when I click on "Continue" button.

This app represents a positive move in the right direction for TatraBanka and I'm happy the bank is finally embracing today's modern technology. The functionality, though basic, is flawless - English support throughout is comprehensive, much better than the actual TB website - and the only restriction I can see is related to the poor training of retail staff who actually have the correct hardware installed in their shop, but are unfamiliar with its capability to initiate contactless payment. This, however, is not an issue for TB to address. Overall, very impressed. 5 stars when the web pages that some links in the app direct to for info, are updated to include English version.
