I’ve had accounts at the big banks. No comparison on vanilla, out of the box account features: balance protection, fraud protections, transfers, and bill pay. I’m not a VIP or anything. It ask you verify your identity but all it does is cause you to have a longggggggggg wait before the “yes it’s me” pop up. A code is supposed to be sent, but that never happens. Citadel had I.T. issues with mobile banking forI-Phone users. It took far too long to correct however they seem to have resolved the issues I was having. My information is accurate. The only way I can use the app is to keep changing my address from “Road” to “RD” and back again. Each time, I must verify it is me making the change. Calls to my local branch and to the 800# have been zero help. No one seems to care. I get a message saying it needs to verify I'm human. Then it just keeps buffering and never moves past that screen. This feature cannot be disabled; all notifications must be turned off. Fraud detection is now more difficult….very disappointing move from the Citidel ### 1/5 — GPS issue *2025-03-27, version 17.2* 17.2 grabs GPS and keeps it active even when the app is in the background. Have to kill the app to make it stop. I had to block location access to the app to stop it from happening. Downgraded from 3 stars to 1 star after reading the developer response. Which was unhelpful and does not even acknowledge the issue exists. My wife and I used it to set up and pay for our HELOC, and now I monitor all of my accounts in one stop. The only thing that is strange is asking for a bigger line of credit. Most banks have something quick you can apply with right through the app. With Citadel, while it may start with the app, you will swiftly be notified by email and have to go through a lengthy approval process.
