### 2/5 — Would Be 5 Stars With Tech Support

*2024-09-10, version 1.3*

I bought this as an elegant, and efficient means to build bibliographies. It really does have a nice interface and automates a lot of the drudgery of building references.

I've run into difficulties with exporting, however, and the link to the designer's page/tech support just goes to a landing page that points back to the app store. So, it's not compatible with Scrivener, I can't realley get my data out of CIN in any usual form, and I paid for lifetime access to the thing.

### 2/5 — Difficult to Use

*2022-12-02, version 1.3*

This app did not work for me while we were trying to cite some books for my daughters 3rd grade project. Not sure why? We had proper ISBN number, title, author, etc.

Probably had to pay more for it to work.

### 1/5 — Won’t export

*2021-09-10, version 1.3*

I needed to do this report and now I have to re type these manually after I paid for a subscription.

### 1/5 — difficult to copy text only citations

*2021-07-09, version 1.3*

To copy text only I had to email it to myself? This is the in text citation generated for a journal article:

In-text: </br></br>(Lamont Moore & Ogrodnik, 1989)</br></br>

It isn’t a simple “Added to you clipboard” copy
It isn’t intuitive to use.

And you cant download the bibliography without a subscription.

### 3/5 — Great APP has major bug!!!!!

*2021-06-16, version 1.3*

The App is great and does pull in most information for citation. Webpages may require some manual manipulation of the Data, but is still better than notion. The ISBN and DOI search function works great. However, There is no way to export the information directly to Word or Copy and Paste the citations too Word or other profile. The option of PDF and RIS do not work for me and no clear guidance how this works. Finally, the export to email Plain Text does not work with MS Outlook. HTML format is not properly converting to what is needed to put into the Word.

Need Copy and Past function to a Word doc would be great improvement to this system. And would raise my 3 star rating to 5 star.

### 1/5 — Confusing

*2021-05-24, version 1.3*

Not able to copy the citations and was only able to make 1 citation before being charged to make more citation. Might as well make people pay for the app before downloading!

### 1/5 — Paid but still prompted to subscribe

*2021-02-27, version 1.3*

Thanks for nothing

### 3/5 — One subscription per device?

*2021-02-27, version 1.3*

I purchased the subscription while on my iPhone but mainly complete my homework on my iPad. I downloaded the app on both devices thinking that I would be able to shares the citations created on either device as well as the license. It seems that this is not correct. When I attempt to start a new citation on my iPad it asks me to sign up for a subscription but then tells me I already have a subscription. Do I have to have a different subscription for each device that I use or am I forced to create the citations on my phone then email them to my iPad?

### 4/5 — Good APP

*2021-01-07, version 1.3*

Will there be an upgrade for APA 7version?

### 1/5 — Keeps Crashing

*2020-10-12, version 1.2*

When it works well, it’s great, however it has crashed twice and I have been unable to retrieve my data that was lost. As you can imagine, incredibly frustrating when you are two days away from your term paper due date.

I was also charged twice for premium because of the app crashing. Thankfully I signed up for a month at a time so I only lost $1 or so, but that should not have happened. Very difficult to find any troubleshooting or contact-us information.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Waste of money

*2025-04-15, version 1.3*

Waste of money

### 1/5 — Poorly Designed

*2023-01-05, version 1.3*

This app does cite the articles correctly, but it is impossible to copy and paste the cites. When you email them, they are scrambled. They do not have many options of sources to cite and it does not even put the sources in order. Extremely disappointed and a waste of money!

### 1/5 — Terrible

*2022-10-17, version 1.3*

Creates great citations but none of the app functions actually work. Wont export to a PDF, cannot copy to your clipboard, plain text options are filled with coding crap. Absolutely useless, had to hand type my citations regardless. STEER CLEAR.

### 1/5 — Does Not Find Any Books by Barcode Scan

*2022-09-20, version 1.3*

Not one book is found when using the scan feature, including books published this year. Have to add everything manually. No help contact available. Denied refund.

### 1/5 — doesn’t work

*2022-04-15, version 1.3*

paid for subscription and the export doesn’t work

### 1/5 — Worst app for citations. AVOID this app. It is a SCAM!

*2022-03-19, version 1.3*

I DEMAND a full refund! I wasted time and money on this for my project. If I could, I’d give ZERO STARS

### 1/5 — Does not help with websites

*2022-02-22, version 1.3*

I signed up for a year. Then I tried using this app for my APA paper. It would not help me with my online references. I thought we had 3 days to cancel. I down graded to the monthly subscription. And now I have 2 subscriptions instead of one that I was already charged for. And the app tells me to change my preferences from the Apple store. It’s not possible.

### 1/5 — Deserves no stars

*2022-01-09, version 1.3*

Makes no sense I paid and Microsoft word does the same thing. Endnote is better

### 1/5 — Rip off

*2021-11-11, version 1.3*

Cannot use app unless you pay, don’t waste your time downloading, that let you cite for free on one go and then advised to pay.

### 1/5 — Trash

*2021-10-28, version 1.3*

You can’t copy and paste the citations!

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Excellent App

*2020-11-21, version 1.3*

Provides a quick and easy way to manage all your references
And it’s got a great colour scheme!

### 5/5 — 5 stars

*2020-11-01, version 1.3*

As a plasterer , this app is my most useful and trusted tool on the worksite. My work has become much more streamlined and productivity has shot through the roof . It’s the app I didn’t know I needed , and now I couldn’t live without it .

### 5/5 — Awesome !!

*2020-10-10, version 1.2*

This will save me so much time ! Thanks!

### 5/5 — Great for students

*2020-10-01, version 1.2*

I’m a grad student and the amount of books and articles I need to keep track of can be a little bit excessive. I found this app today and I’m already loving it. I’ve previously used Zotero as my citation organizer, and since it doesn’t work on my iPad I am thrilled to have found app. I’d say both are comparable in terms of organization and ease of use, though this app absolutely has better presentation and appearance. If you can, go for the upgrade - I bought the Lifetime Access and have zero regrets. The smart search feature is excellent - the only details I’ve had to correct occasionally is capitalization on book titles. One element that would make this even better is adding a section in the citation field to add a web link for online sources. Otherwise this is perfect for my needs as a grad student and researcher!

### 5/5 — Solid app

*2020-09-27, version 1.2*

This app is pretty good for building your citations on the go. If there is one thing I’d like to add, it would be that Chicago/Turabian should also be added. I recommend this app to anyone who needs it.

### 5/5 — Great app, easy to use

*2020-09-01, version 1.2*

I love this app, great, easy, and very convenient to us. Some suggestions would be to have the iPhone and iPad be able to update with one another. Also to be able to have a Mac app or website would be awesome. However one of the easiest and most accurate APA 7 generators out there.

### 5/5 — Love it Now!

*2020-08-01, version 1.1*

A great app. It has made referencing so much easier for my teenage daughters. They love the color coded folders and the ease of being able to scan books and do web searches. For the cost of a couple of takeout coffees both my girls can use the app through family sharing for the whole school year. Perfect!

### 4/5 — Great app but still a few bugs

*2022-02-14, version 1.3*

Love this app how ever there seems to be still a few bugs had issues exporting the folder I created.

### 4/5 — Feature Request

*2021-02-04, version 1.3*

I like this app, but it would be so helpful to be able to copy a citation to my clipboard. It is tedious to launch citations to my email client to copy & paste into my papers. Thank you.

Also, why do you make it impossible to contact you from the app. I am a premium subscriber. I’d expect a little tech support for my fee.

### 4/5 — Shareable?

*2021-01-11, version 1.3*

This app said in the About section that it supports Family Sharing, but that option does not pop up on my screen when I go to my Apple Subscriptions settings.

The app works well, but if it is not able to be shared among family, that should be mentioned clearly. If it is, it should be easier to do.
