Unfortunately, verification is not viable for Ghanaians outside the country, I entered my Ghana card number but it requires me to have a Ghanaian number, I think there should be an opportunity for any Ghanaian anywhere to verify his or her details with any international number the person is using. Looking at the Citizenship app, if Ghanaians outside the country are able to verify their details, it will help with business and make life a bit comfortable for us. Thank you ### 4/5 — Great app for every Ghanaian citizen. *2024-10-16, version 1.0.304* I did download the app on the same day it got launched and I must say it works but still needs couple more things to compliment it to be top notch. Few negatives; How can a citizen without Ghana card living in the diaspora use this app. I think it should be opened to allow passports if there’s no Ghana card so when a card is made, it can be updated smoothly onto the app. Secondly, if I have no Ghana number, why can’t I use the number I have in the country which I currently live? So these aspects needs to be looked at to allow more applicants enrol onto the app. The citizens app is definitely a game changer for every Ghana citizen or resident to make the most out of it being anything from government or public. This somehow compliments the Uk government website where every information about the country from identity, insurance number, jobs, paying utilities etc. This is a magic tool for every Ghanaian and should be proud to have this app handy. If you hate reading, don’t worry it’s nothing complicated at all. You can do your momo transfer etc using this app. Massive thanks to the engineers making this a stress free life for all Ghanaian citizens. A million gun salute to the developers. Lastly, I wish Ghanaians will amplify their opinions about this than just to be quiet and only have a hear say opinion. Additionally, being a citizen of a country doesn’t mean you’re resident in the country. So there must be option to change the country of residence where a drop down of all the countries and their codes showing. Ghanaians living in the diaspora needs to be a part of this to make it a success. We can’t apply for any jobs now, please bring it back ### 3/5 — Great but… *2021-11-02, version 1.0.2* Good initiative and an Intuitive portal to access digital government services and projects, however I find it rather off as it doesn’t allow for signing in using email as an alternative to the phone numbers. App is open to Ghanaian citizens both resident and abroad, so how come the target is register with the number on file for the Ghana card number? Not all Ghanaians have the Ghana card, so that will exclude a chunk of Ghanaians willing to access the app, those Ghanaians outside of Ghana who are not on roaming services will definitely be left out. Only existing users can log in… is there another way to create an account or I’m not eligible for this? ### 1/5 — Country contact selection *2026-04-01, version 1.1.26* I downloaded the app and signed up with my Ghana card but couldn’t proceed because I don’t have a Ghanaian SIM card. There should be an option to select a country code in order for people living abroad who don’t have a Ghana SIM card sign up and get notifications about their account.
