Then it won’t let me delete my account or edit it at all. So they just are holding my phone number and email hostage and will never let me delete it or give me the service I signed up for. ### 1/5 — Huh *2020-05-18* What is this supposed to be, a shameless ripoff of Citizen? The only difference is that Citizen works while this does not, at least here in the United States. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work... *2019-08-26, version 6.0.3* Registration is first of all a pain. Uploading from gallery is impossible - the app doesn’t request access to photo but crashes instead, after granting access it still crashed when uploading a photo. Limited time frame on when an issue can be reported. And best of all 90% of all user submitted violations in my area are ignored by local authorities... sooo yah pretty much not a single bit of intended functionality is working as planned - if I wanted to upload short videos or upload photos straight from camera I’d just use Instagram ### 1/5 — Can’t even register *2019-05-13* Every time Ive tried to register on this app it gives me the error “invalid session token”! It’s all about making our community better by taking action and making our opinions heard and seen. ### 5/5 — Extremely promising; hoping it picks up in the US *2018-10-17, version 6.0.2* Citizens does for local neighborhood safety what Waze does for driving: In the same way that Waze lets you place alerts/notifications for your fellow drivers re: things like police presence; potholes; roadkill; etc, imagine a similar thing, but for neighborhoods, where you can drop alerts/notifications for your fellow citizens re: things like: - illegal parking (you can input license plate) - road violations - dangerous animals - homeless person in danger - malfunctioning city utilities like lights, water, etc - illegal dumping - broken playground equipment - noise - road rage (again, with license plate reporting) - air pollution - bullying - sidewalk issues Etc etc. The cool thing is, once you drop an alert for something, you can track its progress to see whether it's being remedied (or not). Presumably it can notify the appropriate authorities / agencies. Obviously it's a new app, so when I selected SF there wasn't any activity to speak of yet. I think they literally just (soft) launched. So don't be disappointed when you see an empty newsfeed. If you’re familiar with NextDoor, think of this as the logical compliment to ND’s feature that lets you report crime & suspicious activity; this is a vastly better implementation. PS. A really cool feature: In your personal profile settings, you can input up to 3 vehicle license plates: This way, if somebody files a report against you (because they can report your license plate!), you can apologize and have the report removed! I keep trying to put my location and city but it keeps showing me things from bulgaria?!? ### 1/5 — Unusable App *2022-03-26* I have tried updating my city. For some reason all I’m seeing are posts from Bulgaria. The search is unavailable, making it impossible to update location. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work *2022-01-17, version 6.0.3* I just made a account and I wouldn’t let me upload my city, I live in the US and it was giving me the UK reports. I tried to delete my account and it wouldn’t let me do it, so I just deleted the app then ### 1/5 — App doesn’t work *2021-12-24* This app doesn’t even work. The minute you download a message says “Ups something went wrong”. When you try to add your address a message saying can not load results is displayed continuously. It’s useless. I don’t like the cold . ### 1/5 — App doesnt respond/ show my area. *2021-03-10* I have tried numerous times to update my address, I live in Los Angeles and the settings every have my correct address, but the map and reports are only showing for a random city in the middle of Bulgaria. I reset the app, connected to different wifi spots, signed back in and out, updated the correct address, but still doesnt show me anything related to my area, not even close.
