## What is Citizenship Day Calculator?

Citizenship Calc is the privacy-first day-counting calculator for citizenship and naturalization applications across 8 countries.

Every country counts your "days outside" differently. A single miscalculation can mean losing $1,000–$2,500 in fees and a year of waiting. Citizenship Calc does the math exactly the way each government does it, with direct links to the official rule for every verdict.

  • United Kingdom — Form AN: max 450 days outside in 5 years (270 for spouse), with the departure-and-return-day carve-out
  • United States — USCIS Policy Manual Vol. 12 Part D: 30 months physical presence + 180/365-day continuous-residence trip rules
  • Canada — Physical presence calculator: 1,095 days, half-credit for pre-PR days (capped at 365)
  • Australia — 4 years lawful + 1 year PR + 480 days physical + 90/12-mo + 120 recent
  • New Zealand — 1,350 days + 240 in each year (any partial day counts as a full day)
  • Germany — StAG (October 2025): 5 years residence, 6-month continuous-break rule
  • Ireland — 1 year continuous + 4 reckonable years out of 8
  • Netherlands — 5 years uninterrupted lawful residence
