## What is City Discoverer Companion?

City Discoverer Companion automatically detects and records every city and state you drive through — turning every road trip into a memorable adventure. Just start a journey, drive, and let the app do the rest.

AUTOMATIC CITY DISCOVERY Your phone's GPS identifies each city you enter in real time. No manual input needed. The app checks your location every 8-10 seconds during active journeys and uses reverse geocoding to identify the exact city and state you're passing through.

MULTI-MODAL NOTIFICATIONS Never miss a discovery. When you enter a new city, you'll hear a voice announcement saying "Now entering [city], [state]," accompanied by a notification chime, a visual popup with the city name and current weather, and haptic feedback.

BACKGROUND DISCOVERING Keep discovering even when the app is minimized. Enable background discovering in Settings to continue logging cities during your road trip without keeping the app on screen. You'll receive push notifications for each new city discovered in the background.

JOURNEY HISTORY & DATA EXPORT Every journey is saved with a complete list of cities, timestamps, weather conditions, and visit counts. Export your travel history as CSV or JSON to keep a permanent record of your adventures.

GLOBAL DISCOVERY LEADERBOARD See how your discoveries compare with travelers worldwide. Browse the Global Discovery database to see what cities other users have found across the country.
