## What is City Path Driver?

City Path Driver is built exclusively for licensed private hire drivers (for passenger bookings, please use the main City Path app).

Onboarding & Verification
Before you can take live dispatches, add your vehicle and upload your driver's licence, private hire insurance, and MOT certificate. Keep these documents current—expired or rejected files will temporarily pause your access to the job board.

Going Online & Location Tracking
Switch to Online whenever you are ready to work. City Path uses your location while you are online or on an active trip so passengers can track your approach and the system can dispatch nearby job offers. A persistent notification will remain on screen until you switch to Offline.

Job Board & Acceptance
Open the Job Board to view bookings matched to your vehicle classification: Standard, Business, or Large. You are free to accept or decline any job offer. Once you accept, the map displays your live location, the pickup point, the drop-off destination, and the route.

Managing Trips & Fares
Trip Controls: Slide to mark your arrival at the pickup location, then slide again to start the trip once the passenger is inside.

In-Trip Communication: In-app calling and chat features are active exclusively while a job is live.

Payment: Passengers pay a fixed fare online when booking. Your payout for each trip is logged under Earnings.

Licensing & Territory
All trips operate in compliance with Edinburgh private hire regulations. Every job offered will start, finish, or pass through Edinburgh.
