Unfortunately after three years I had lost username and password having never had to use them. Alternative login required scanning id card which I never received. App is too glitchy, so much room for improvement doubt I’ll see it anytime soon. Other gym apps are more useful that they could copy. They should have made most of the app offline accessible with online component that updates when there is internet. Which brings to the next point. The changing qr code to checkin requires internet. So if you trying to checkin and their wifi and or your cellular network not working…. You'll be wasting time waiting at the front desk trying to get it to pop up. I just want to go in and then out…not wasting time on small talks and looking like an idiot waiting for your code to pop up. Please put an offline component to this app ### 1/5 — Doesn’t have all locations listed *2023-03-16, version 4.1.3* For over a year now, the app doesn’t have HIIT sign ups or schedules available. We've reached out multiple times for this to be addressed but to no avail. Very annoying ### 1/5 — The app check in feature no longer works *2022-10-30* Are used to be able to check in from the parking lot using the app but now the check-in box doesn’t show up anymore. I also checked with the front desk and it doesn’t show me checking in. ### 1/5 — Bad interface for mobile *2022-08-12, version 4.1.2* When I tried to creat an account, I got stuck at 2nd step. It asks “enter the first 5 digit of account …”. It can’t display the entire sentence. How can I know what 5 digit numbers I should enter? And of course I was locked out after 3 tried. The app is not designed for mobile use. ### 3/5 — A membership card pop up. *2022-07-29* I have continuously set my app so that when I arrive at the gym it pops up on my screen. Unfortunately it works sometimes and sometimes it doesn’t. It could benefit club hours were added to each gym. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Hangs after entering PIN *2026-04-27* I can’t log in to the app. When I enter an incorrect PIN, it indicates that it’s incorrect, but when I enter the correct one it does nothing. I can’t access any part of the app beyond the PIN screen. ### 1/5 — Check-in History Missing Days *2026-02-13* The only feature I use in this app is check-in and then looking at the check-in history. It routinely misses at least one day a week. Put out of order sign on hottub 1 star ### 1/5 — Basic App *2025-04-08* You would think for a gym that is getting $50 a month at least per customer, their app would be better UX/UI. It’s nothing fancy and it gets the job done to book classes…except it doesn’t now? For some reason I no longer have a BOOK option on any of the classes? I thought maybe tomorrow’s classes were full but it’s like that for the whole week which neverrrrr happens so now what? Why can’t I see how many ppl have booked the class, how far am I on the waitlist? And right now, why can’t I bookkkk??????? ### 1/5 — Pilates reform *2025-02-09* My app to sign up for Pilates reform was working perfectly. Then it was changed and I can’t sign up for classes-which I have to pay extra for. Can you please put it back to the original app so I can sign up without having to ask the front counter at the gym to sign me up? Very annoying. If it continues it makes no sense to pay extra for this headache ### 1/5 — Check-In History *2024-07-04* I’m getting conflicting stories. When I noticed that my check in history wasn’t accurate I called in one day to ask why. The guy said it’s because when you scan in the gym, there’s something the front desk folks needs to click on once you do…so that’s what I believed. Today we go and there’s people at the front desk when we scanned in. Doesn’t look like they clicked on anything. So what is it really?? Should the scans auto populate to the app? Or is this something staff needs to on their end?? When I called again today to ask, they said it has nothing to do with them and it’s the app….im starting to think it’s the first reason and some of these front desk people aren’t doing their jobs. Looking good! ### 5/5 — Decent gym app *2020-01-04* I’m guessing that there’s been improvements after reading other complaints about the City Sports app. I’m able to see gym hours, my membership info, club locations, manager names, etc. I find signing in with my phone convenient too. ### 5/5 — I like this app. *2015-09-22, version 1.2.1* I reserve racquetball courts and sign my friends up for two weeks of club fitness privileges. If they like they can sign on. Thanks City Sports :) ### 4/5 — app is fine *2021-04-07, version 4.0.0* the app works fine i would just suggest adding a crowd meter so that people can have an idea of how many people are at the gym before they go to workout. good for shy people and those who want to be covid conscious ### 4/5 — Room for improvement *2017-04-20* + easy to cancel appts + make reservations - my pet peeve is when I check in I have to inform the front desk I have a personal training session, if you don't then you have to go back to front desk and recheck in very annoying when you're in a crunch for time. This should register automatically. Inconvenient for both clients and staff. - Ability to send message to trainer directly instead of calling front desk. Sometimes messages are not given in timely manor. - would be nice to have towel request at all facilities 😬 Wish I didn't have to keep wet towels in my car all day especially in the summer. ### 4/5 — GeoLocate *2016-12-18* App is not too bad. Provides basic functionality that's needed.
