## What is CityChat?

Ask the city. It answers.

CityChat is a personal AI city guide. Ask "what should I see?", "where's a good lunch?" or "what is this building?" and get a real answer about the place around you - in English or Polish.

CHAT WITH THE CITY
Ask like you'd ask a local. CityChat answers with real places from its curated city catalog — with photos, opening hours and a map pin, not ten blue links. Asking about "right now"? It checks what's open before you set out.

POINT YOUR CAMERA
See a landmark you don't recognize? Photograph it and CityChat tells you what it is. A menu or sign in another language? Snap it for an instant translation.

OUT WITH KIDS
A dedicated Kids category gathers playgrounds, indoor playrooms and family attractions. Filter restaurants and hotels for kid-friendly amenities — high chairs, changing tables, children's menus — or simply ask the chat where to eat and what to do with your child.

DISCOVER AND PLAN
Browse curated places and local events, search within a category, preview sample menus, filter food spots that are open now, save favorites and jump from a recommendation straight to the map.

START FREE, GO PRO WHEN YOU NEED MORE
Browsing and discovery are free, with a daily allowance of chat and camera use. CityChat PRO unlocks unlimited chat and photo recognition (fair-use limits apply), available as a monthly or annual subscription, or a one-time lifetime purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the period; manage or cancel anytime in your App Store account settings.

Some clearly labeled place recommendations may be sponsored by local businesses.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.21 — 2026-09-29

Smoother without an account, and more careful with your data

• Camera: picking a photo from your library now works without signing in — identify a landmark or translate a menu straight away
• PRO bought before you created an account now comes back on its own when you return to the app
• Deleting your account: if something goes wrong, you'll see it and can try again — and a reminder explains that an App Store subscription is cancelled separately, with a Manage subscription button
• Nearby place tips and location stop as soon as you sign out or delete your account
• The weather row refreshes when you come back to the app, and an outdated rain notice no longer shows
• App Clip: a clear message with Try again when there's no connection
• Better VoiceOver support and correct plural forms throughout

### 1.20 — 2026-09-26

Rain check, invitations, and a chat that knows the place

• Rainy day? When rain is here or on its way, Discover offers "Indoor picks" — museums, galleries, cafés and restaurants under a roof — with the time it's expected to stop or start (forecast: MET Norway)
• Invite a friend: share your personal invitation link from Settings — they get 30 days of PRO, and so do you when they join
• Ask about this place: open chat straight from a place card and get answers about that place — hours, menu, what's good for kids — without explaining which one you mean
• Events go in your calendar with one tap, and "Remind me" sends a reminder two hours before the start
• Collections and challenges now travel in the offline city pack, so they work without a connection

### 1.19 — 2026-09-19

Distance at a glance

When you're in the city, every place now shows how far it is from you and roughly how long the walk takes — on Discover tiles, on the map's place card and search results, on the place page and on places suggested in chat.

• Events that run for weeks, like exhibitions, now sit in their own "Running for longer" section under the dated ones, with an "On now" badge and their end date
• The map gives more room to the map: the city control and search share one row, and both fold away while a place card is open
• Your location dot is clearly visible above the pins, and the locate-me button zooms in closer

### 1.18.1 — 2026-09-17

Fixes a bug where Discover and the map could keep showing places from a different city than the one selected until you switched cities by hand.

### 1.18 — 2026-09-16

Collections & challenges

Discover now has three views: Places, Events and Collections. Collections are curated lists for the city — old-town monuments, churches, viewpoints — and challenges you can complete, like finding all the Przemyśl bears. Tick places off as you visit them and watch your progress grow.

• "Been here" on every place — visited places turn grey on the map and count towards challenges
• "Add to plan" on every place — your plan for the day lists places nearest-first, with walking times
• Saved · Visited · Plan filters on the map, and a "My places" card at the top of Settings

Also in this release:
• The same city control on every tab, and chat opens with your city
• Bigger, easier-to-tap buttons on the map's place card
• Quick tips for the new features
