After struggling for four days to navigate the city, this app completely changed my experience. It shows you all the transportation options, gives you accurate times, and guides you step by step throughout your journey. But my absolute favorite feature is that it even tells you which subway exit to take—something incredibly helpful in NYC, where choosing the wrong exit can leave you several blocks away or completely disoriented! With only two days left in my trip, I finally feel like I can move around New York with confidence. 😅 If you’re visiting NYC, download this app before you arrive. I subscribe to get rid of the myriad advertisements. It often doesn’t alert me about problems on my commuting train lines even though I have the alerts activated. And there is another annoying bug relating to the old London TfL Rail line (now Elizabeth Line) which I have contacted ‘support’ about several times and heard absolutely nothing! I like that it warns me when my stop is coming up (critical if riding a bus). I got a new iwatch so I could see the step by step directions on city mapper walking options, which is possible on the phone but not on the watch?!?? This is a ridiculous oversight and the developers should be ashamed of themselves for not thinking of adding a walk option on the watch companion app or to have it sync at least with the iPhone app, but it doesn’t work!! So it remembers the location but it only will tell you the bus route to take on the watch, even when the phone version is guiding you on the walking route which is what it’s supposed to do!!!
