## What is CiviCents?

CiviCents is a nonpartisan ballot guide for the November 3, 2026 general election. It explains what's on your ballot in plain English and links every summary back to its official source — without telling you how to vote.

BALLOT MEASURES, IN PLAIN ENGLISH • All 14 California statewide propositions, each broken down into what is being proposed, why it matters, and who would be affected • What happens if the measure passes — and what happens if it fails • Supporters' and opponents' official voter-guide arguments, summarized side by side with the same layout • Fiscal effects and open questions, with the date each source was reviewed • Statewide measures in the other western states, with what a Yes or No would do and the official arguments for and against from state voter pamphlets

YOUR HOUSE AND SENATE RACES • Enter a ZIP code, or use your location once, to find your congressional district in 13 western states • See the candidates on your ballot, taken from official state candidate lists • Compare candidates on housing, taxes and health care using their own campaign statements, plus selected official votes in California • Where a recent nonpartisan public poll exists, candidates are listed in poll order with the pollster, date and source. A poll is an estimate, not a result. • Party labels show ballot-listed party preferences, not endorsements

SEATS & RESULTS • A House seat map for the West showing who held each seat before the election • Counts appear as states report them. CiviCents never calls a race.

ELECTION DAY REMINDERS • A countdown to Election Day with poll hours • Optional reminders, scheduled on your iPhone

PRIVATE BY DESIGN • No account. No sign-in. • We never ask how you plan to vote. • Your ZIP code, district, topics and bookmarks stay on your iPhone. • If you use your location, it is checked once on your iPhone to find your district. It is not sent to us or saved.

SOURCES YOU CAN CHECK Every summary shows where it came from — the California Secretary of State voter guide, state voter pamphlets, certified candidate lists, campaign websites, and official congressional records — and when it was last reviewed. Content that has not finished review is not shown.

CiviCents is an independent app. It is not affiliated with any government agency, campaign, or political party. Always confirm voting details with your county elections office.
