## What is Civique & TCF?

Since January 1, 2026, the civic knowledge exam has been mandatory for France's multi-year residence permit, resident card, and naturalisation. This app prepares you for both hurdles: the civics exam and the TCF/TEF IRN language test.

CIVICS EXAM (new since 2026)
• 300 official-style questions (republican principles, institutions, rights and duties, history, society), adapted from the official government fact sheets (formation-civique.interieur.gouv.fr, Licence Ouverte 2.0) with source credit
• 100 real-life scenario questions for the practical part of the exam
• Timed simulations in the real exam format: 40 questions, 45 minutes, pass mark 32/40

TCF/TEF IRN — ALL 4 LANGUAGE SKILLS, BY LEVEL (A2, B1, B2)
• Reading and listening comprehension — each listening clip plays only once, just like on exam day
• Writing tasks graded by AI using a two-step model (content first, then language), matching the official 30-90 word ranges per task
• Speaking tasks with a talking virtual examiner who asks each question out loud; your spoken answer is graded by AI on the same criteria
• Full simulations in the exact exam format and timing
