## What is Civly?

Civly is an AI-powered campaign research platform for political campaign teams. The mobile app carries four things into the field: what's breaking, what you can find out, the clips you need, and the doors you're knocking.

BRIEFING ROOM
- Real-time monitoring of the people and topics you track, across major social platforms
- AI controversy scoring, so what matters surfaces first
- Alerts when something moves

RESEARCH
- Ask about a person, an organization, or an issue, and get a sourced answer
- Deep research with citations you can check
- Look up a person's public record from anywhere

CLIP LIBRARY
- Find and save the video moments you need
- Build compilations, add narration, and export vertical or 4K for social

CANVASSING
- Manage walk lists and log door visits in the field
- Draw your turf on a map and claim it
- Works offline and syncs when you are back in signal
- Optional step tracking (with your permission) helps verify canvassing routes

Civly is built for authorized campaign staff. An account is required; accounts are provisioned by your organization's administrator.

CIVLY TEAM COMPLIANCE DEMO
- Civly team accounts can open a fictional workforce-compliance demo from the Compliance tab
- Explore meal-break tracking, employee forms, missed-meal review, and waiver administration

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.5 — 2026-09-20

The Research tab is now the Command Center: start a chat, run research tools, and manage your chats from one screen. Bug fixes and performance improvements.

### 1.4 — 2026-09-09

Civly team accounts can now open Workforce Compliance from a new Compliance button on iPhone and iPad. The fictional demo includes meal-break tracking, employee forms, missed-meal review, and waiver administration.

### 1.3 — 2026-09-05

The app is simpler. Four tabs now: Briefing, Research, Clips and Canvass. Person Search is gone because Research already covers it, and the Dialer and More menu came off with it. Sign out and settings moved to the person icon in the top right.

The War Room fits a phone. The session list no longer sits beside your research taking half the screen; open it from the Sessions button. Text is roughly half again as wide, and long links wrap instead of pushing the page sideways.

Canvassing gained draw-to-select turf, a claimed-doors banner, notes on the row, CSV export and per-row offline sync.

Clip Library can build compilations by chat, add narration with a choice of narrator, and export vertical and 4K.

### 1.2 — 2026-07-21

Fixes a sign-in issue and restores trending topics in the Briefing tab. Reliability improvements.

### 1.1 — 2026-06-21

• Command Center: your research war room — opposition research, polling, and outreach in one place
• Canvassing: step tracking now uses your phone's motion sensor for accurate door-knocking
• Dozens of improvements across search, social analysis, and reporting
• Bug fixes and performance improvements
