A word from our customers:

"There are so many productivity apps out there that are practically clones of each other, with the same old boring workflow that just doesn't work for everyone. It's nice for me to finally have found an app that facilitates true productivity through an effective system", Whirlygirlie, USA

”Finally an app that takes into account all of GTD (unlike Omnifocus that does not take into account the energy nor the time required for action)” - FranckyBorsalino, France

"I've been trying this app out for a while and I love it so far! [...] Using Clair has been helping me take action the way other apps haven't been able to do..." - Whirlygirlie, USA

### 2/5 — Not ready for daily use

*2022-10-29*

This has some promise, but doesn’t deliver, yet.
The use of contexts seems to work.
The use of “waiting” and “deferred” sounds great, but isn’t working in a useful way. The very first project I started to create ran into trouble.
A “project”, by definition is a multi-step process. If it was a single step, it is just a task. So, reasonably, the multi-steps should be entered with each dependent step as a “waiting on” attached to the prior needed step. “Nested” steps that trigger as the prior step is completed, and the waiting steps don’t show as actionable until the prior needed step is completed. The app only allows one level.
I already have lists. I don’t need another list function. I need something that allows me to nest steps, as many as I need, and I don’t want to see the pending steps. The whole idea is to only be looking at the single next actionable step or task.
Also, couldn’t rename a project after it was created.

Good idea. Incomplete execution.

### 4/5 — On the cusp of gtd greatness

*2019-02-17, version 1.4.0*

I would love to give this five stars but it’s still a bit raw. The main issue I have is that all actions added to a project get put in the next actions section. Which means the next actions section is overflowing and out of order, and there’s no manual ordering option. To fix, you either have to link all secondaries to a next action, in which case they all pop-up again after completing the next action, or you have to manually edit each action, defer it to “someday”, and then change it to a next action when reflecting. Why they don’t allow you to do this in multi-edit is beyond me. In multi-edit you have to choose a specific date for some reason. Either they need to change this, or they need to give a sequential/parallel project option. Until this issue is fixed, it causes way too much friction to make this my prime gtd app.

What I love - the progress indicators and percentage stats on both the project list and inside the project itself. Best implementation I’ve seen inside of any gtd app.

### 5/5 — Fantastic and private implementation of GTD

*2019-01-06, version 1.4.0*

I’m really impressed with this app. It very simply implements the GTD method and walks you through the steps in a clear and integrated way. This has let me get things off my mind secure in the knowledge that I can come back to them at the right time and place.

Best of all, unlike many of the other apps in this category, the developers have put privacy first and there’s no need to sign up for an account and send your private data to a third party server. This is a must if you value privacy and security.

The pro subscription is very reasonably priced and I’m happy to pay it to support the developer’s great work, but you can download a limited version to get a feel for things before committing.

For best results, I highly recommend reading David Allen’s “Getting Things Done” book while learning how to use this app.

The only thing missing for me is an Apple Watch offering!

### 4/5 — Fix end date problem please

*2018-08-17*

Overall I like the app, and it is the closest to GTD I have found. But please fix small bugs, the most annoying one - end date does not get saved in any entries (projects)

**Developer response:** Thank you for reporting the bug! We will fix it in the coming release.

### 1/5 — Deceiving...

*2017-08-22*

I read the description and how there's one month all access free trial and even the note added about how some customers are wrong in the comments but that is completely false. I just downloaded the app and I am unable to delete a context. A pop up prompting me to purchase the pro version keeps coming up. Very sad and explains why this app hasn't become popular. Also, when creating recurring tasks, the only option you have is to repeat "upon completion" and not from due date - so scheduled to repeat every Tues but you completed it this week on Wed it will re change to recurring every Wed.
UPDATE: I did get the free trial so unless there is some trick to getting the trial to activate, I stand by my review.

**Developer response:** There is no deception. The free trial is activated when you start / purchase the Pro subscription. Yes, without the free trial you will not be able to delete items.

This app is different from many other apps, and our customers appreciate just that. This is a stress free, motivating GTD system and we repeat tasks on an interval which depends on when the task is completed.

The calendar is much more suitable for tasks that you want to repeat on a certain hour or a certain day and everyone should be using some sort of calendar app.

This is why we offer the free trial, so that people can try and see if it fits them. There is no need to judge this app so harshly if it does not fit your particular way of thinking. Please find an app that fits your needs. There are plenty of them.

### 1/5 — Expecting more for the price

*2017-02-03*

The app is just "OK" for productivity. For the cost of the pro-subscription, I would have expected a lot more features and userability. I get the whole idea of flow and simplistic design, but there are literaly tons of apps in the App Store that have this same approach to GTD without excess price associated with purchase. The designer makes the comment of "designing and update of the app cost". My reply to this comment is "Have a better pricing structure and more people will buy your app"

### 5/5 — Great app

*2017-01-31*

Fun and easy to use. Very smooth and bug free. Clean Apple-like interface. Really like it. I'm not sure I'll switch from my old fashioned methods thought. Wish I could!

### 2/5 — Great but bad pricing model

*2017-01-22*

You should be able to delete on the free plan. It would be nice if you could just buy it for like $9.99 instead of subscribe.

**Developer response:** Thank you for your review. We do offer a free 1 month trial which allows you to try the app without any limitations. That includes even the possibility to delete a task. There are no strings attached and the trial can be cancelled at any time, within the first month.

Kind regards

### 2/5 — Needs more work

*2017-01-12*

I like the overall concept. However, I had a couple issues. 1. I couldn't add a task without adding it to a project. This isn't how GTD is supposed to work. Projects are supposed to be for two or more tasks. 2. They won't even let you delete a task once it's added unless you subscribe to the paid version. That is simply ridiculous.

**Developer response:** I am glad that you like the overall concept of Clair. We listened to your suggestion and now it is possible to add a task without adding it to a project.

Regarding deletion of tasks: We do offer a free 1 month trial which allows you to try the app without any limitations. That includes even the possibility to delete a task. There are no strings attached and the trial can be cancelled at any time, within the first month.

Kind regards,
Jasko Demirovic

### 5/5 — Perfect for GTD users!

*2016-12-30*

This is the exact app that I've been looking for to use with the GTD system! I'm so excited to have found this app! My only feedback is that I wish you could just enter a single action without having to attach it to a project for things that are just one off tasks. And you can't beat the very affordable yearly subscription price!
