## What is Clam Island?

Calm Island is a gentle parenting support app that helps parents record children’s emotional moments and everyday responses.

You can create a profile for each child, record where an emotional event happened, note emotional intensity, common triggers, and the response used in the moment. Monthly reports and recent trends help you better understand your child’s emotional patterns and gradually find calmer, steadier ways to respond.

Features include:
- Create child profiles
- Record emotional events with custom locations
- Mark common factors such as lack of sleep, overstimulation, or physical discomfort
- Generate emotional guidance steps to help parents respond calmly in the moment
- Companion reminders and favorites for gentle everyday support
- View monthly summaries and recent 7-day trends
- Child profiles and event records are stored on device; when generating emotional guidance, selected context may be temporarily processed through Calm Island backend and AI services to create the response
