Since then I haven’t been able to expand to full screen. I asked for advice and received no reply. ### 3/5 — Not easy to use *2024-02-19, version Version 2.1.8* After having this for a few days I’m giving up on it. The instructions for use are impossible to follow. The carers can hear just about though if they are in there when I talk to her on it . We use two iPads. One has totally disconnected so I need to call up and work out how to reconnect again (as I’ve forgotten). Totally unobtrusive and works brilliantly. I find hibernating the camera when I am at home works well. If I forget when I am out, I can of course start it from my phone. Only small issue I have is that the alerts can be slow in coming through. Must check it out with the friendly and brilliant support staff. I have spoken with them with other products and nothing was a trouble to them. Not! *2026-03-26, version 2.2.0* The app is not good enough to sort out connection issues or why the camera just decides to go to sleep. My other camera is IMOU and no bother there at all. Both sadly continue to ask you to sign up to cloud storage account. ### 1/5 — 2.1.8 Network Errors *2023-11-12, version Version 2.1.8* Previous version very reliable but from update to version 2.1.8 encountering network errors attempting to connect over 5G, connection via wi-fi works. ### 1/5 — Temperamental and buggy *2023-08-29, version 2.1.7* I liked these security cameras when I first bought them, but quickly realised that the app is very annoying to use and the cameras themselves are very buggy. The timeline feature in the app is very fiddly - scrolling to a playback recorded late in the day will take a lot of swiping, even if you decrease the scale of the timeline bar. Before you actually reach the desired time, the playback will usually crash showing an error message so you have to close the app and start again. I also have frequent chunks of time missing from video recordings (often many missing periods overnight, amounting to several hours each day of no visibility), which is pretty unhelpful for a security camera. The cameras have killed several of my SD cards. After formatting the new cards in the camera for first use, they were corrupted and no longer useable. This has happened many times. The cameras are very temperamental to set up. When it works, the process is very easy, but they often need to be reset and that may involve hours, if not days, of going round in circles trying to get the QR code to scan. They only work with wifi routers set to 2.4ghz, not 5ghz. Can they not be updated to work with both?! I’m a member of the dedicated ‘Part of the clan’ Facebook group for these cameras, which is basically a page featuring hundreds of other people complaining and having problems with these products without any sort of useful technical support response from the manufacturer. Overall, I would recommend steering well clear of these products and the app. I wish I’d realised their flaws sooner before investing in more cameras. ### 1/5 — Rubbish *2023-04-04, version 2.1.7* Utter rubbish ### 1/5 — Don’t download this app. *2023-01-18, version 2.1.7* If you’ve bought a camera using this system, send it back. It doesn’t work reliably, setup is a massive pain & if you own more than one home, the whole thing becomes almost impossible. ### 1/5 — Can’t view play back ever! Crashes constantly *2022-10-30, version 2.1.4* Great if you just want to view in real time but absolutely useless if you want to be able to record and look back at anything! The app loads and then constantly crashes. On top of that every time you try to view a camera live it restarts the camera so you have to wait for it to reload! I would look into getting cameras with different software cos this is crap! ### 1/5 — Buyer beware! *2022-05-11, version 2.1.4* The last major update caused issues with the size of the picture view on the app. I’ve given the information to Time2 and their response was there’s no timescale to put it right! ### 1/5 — Terrible, buggy app with poor functionality. *2022-05-02, version 2.1.4* The CCTV system itself is good, easy to install and provides good quality footage. Everything falls apart when it comes to the app. Firstly, you cannot simply “fast forward” your footage, meaning you’ve got to guess when an incident occurred and manually select a time, being able to fast forward the footage whilst you watch it at a faster speed would be much better. Secondly, the app crashes a lot, usually I can only select 3 time points before it stops responding completely, and fails to fetch anymore footage, you then have to restart the app and go through it all again. Good camera, terrible app with limited functionality. ### 1/5 — Can’t Log On *2022-01-19, version 2.1.4* I have had the cameras for a number of years and use this app. I haven’t logged on for a while and now isn’t recognising my account details (i have had the same email and phone number for 20+ years so no chance my user name isn’t one of them). Tried ‘forgot password’ but using email ‘user doesn’t exist’ using phone number ‘country/region not supported’ (united kingdom) so can’t reset password. Many emails ans a 30 minute call to be told no-one can tell me my account name but it will be email or phone number, so only option is to take my cameras down (not an option for me without paying someone to come and do it) and reinstall and make new account, therefore losing all of my footage which i need to access for important reasons. Ridiculous ### 1/5 — Needs improvement: 2 major flaws *2021-08-03, version 2.1.3* Slow to review and retrieve video in the event of an incident. You only discover that after an incident. You need to be able to quickly download ( not record which is the current system) all video to review off line on a bigger screen with better video software that allows fast scrolling through the recordings. The new addition of adverts at start up, delaying access to cameras and other devices is a thoughtful and welcome addition for some I’m sure. Just shows how little the app developers give two hoots about their customers. Get a grip. There are good bits but the 2 points above need addressing before any improved rating can be considered. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Needs updating *2022-11-09, version 2.1.4* Have been very please with the app and Time2 cameras, however using it on Apple ipad now seems not to operate correctly on current update and very frustrating if it can’t be corrected will have to change complete system and bin Clan and camera system. Thanks ### 5/5 — Room for alot of improvement *2021-06-21, version 2.1.3* When you get a notification for sound or motion detection, when you click on “view now” it should take you to the time frame of when the sensor was triggered not to the current time, end up wasting ages trying to go back to the exact time slot. It’s also very hard to find an event that that has happened because you have a little scroller to scroll through a whole 24hours with no indicators on the time line. You only get indicators on the time line when you pay for the cloud. Also There should also be a (speed X1.5, X2, X3 ect… because you end up spending ages trying to view what has been recorded. For example if someone broke into my car parked out the front during the middle of the night and i woke up to a smashed window i have to watch through 8 odd hours of footage to capture the moment it happened. This is the worst CCTV app there is on the market...
