### 4/5 — Almost perfect

*2023-08-24*

Please add the 3 warmup sets
and the possibility to easily replace an exercise by another

### 4/5 — Has potential

*2023-04-27*

Got one workout in on the Reddit PPL before I realised that the second set of lateral raises is missing from the workout and can’t add them without paying.
May return if fixed.
Thanks

### 4/5 — Love it

*2020-08-19, version 2.1*

Love it - great app. Wish it had Leangains RPT!

### 3/5 — Overall quite good — PPL plan has something missing

*2020-02-16*

The PPL push day is supposed to have 6 sets of lateral raises (super set with tricep) per the reddit thread it came from but the app only has 3.

### 4/5 — nice app

*2020-02-16*

great app, but it would be nice to be able to change the weight of the bar(not all bars are 45lbs).

### 5/5 — Good app, but just today it stopped working

*2020-01-24*

The app crashes the second you open it. Please fix as soon as possible.

**Developer response:** Hey DJ, Yesterday there was an Apple service responding with a bad format that was causing this issue. The good news: That service is working properly again. Also, we released a new version of the app so that it will work if this service goes rogue again.

### 4/5 — Great app but...

*2019-12-05*

I like the app a lot but it would be nice to add/change tier 1/2 and also customize the for T1/T2 progressions but otherwise y’all really got something special hear

### 5/5 — What I’ve been looking for!

*2019-10-17*

This is the perfect companion for my chosen weightlifting program (gzclp). It makes adjustments automatically that the other apps can’t!

### 4/5 — Clean and Easy to use

*2019-08-27*

I’ve just started using this to help me keep on track running PPL.
Very clean and easy to use however using KG all weights jump in 2.5. This is fine but when it comes to dumbbells I’m having to use 17.5 instead of 18 etc. I purchased Pro assuming I would have more options to customise this but no luck. Hopefully this gets added/corrected in the future

### 5/5 — Great tracking app

*2019-05-27*

I am using their Push/Pull/Legs workout and it’s inspired me to push myself harder.
Good clean design. Tempted to go for the pro subscription

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — This app is extremely limited

*2021-01-04*

I somehow tricked myself into paying pro for this - yet can’t edit the name of an exercise or increase weight by anything lower than 2.5kg. Anything other than 12 reps is a fail even though the program specifies 8-12. Pretty much useless, I’d like my money back.

### 1/5 — Free app works well

*2020-12-07*

Pro is too expensive and not a one time purchase

### 1/5 — Good basic version but won’t update to Pro

*2020-12-06, version 2.1*

Basic version is good. Using this app for the GZCLP. I’ve tried to update and pay for thePro upgrade but it’s won’t allow me to make the update. Have written support several times with zero response. I guess they don’t want the money. It’s a shame because this app has great potential.

### 1/5 — Great app but subscriptions have a bug

*2020-02-18*

The only reason why it’s a one star is because subscription for pro does not work and is unable to connect to Apple.

Had a chat with Apple who said it’s the developers who need to fix it on their side

### 1/5 — Nonfunctional app as of 1/24/20.

*2020-01-24, version 1.9*

I downloaded this app and bought the subscription for premium. I have been using it to track workouts for the past three months. At the time of writing the app crashes as soon as you open it. I have rebooted my phone. Updated the app. My iOS is up to date. I also tried on another phone.

### 2/5 — Not Customizable

*2022-03-16*

This app has decent routines for beginners but if you want to make any changes to the existing routines they can only be additive. You can’t swap out an existing exercise for a new one nor can you reorder the base routines. recommended starting weights are just 45 for everything so there isn’t any actual thought put into those. Bench press 45 starting weight makes sense but lat raises for 45 is ridiculous.

### 2/5 — This app is decent but needs to be more customizable

*2020-07-08*

Used clank for a while following the different programs they offer. It’s pretty decent for a basic app. Really frustrating that you cannot change out any of the exercises even while paying for premium. I have been working out at home because of COVID, I have the basics but not a whole lot of equipment. This app will not allow you to change out say, leg press for box squats. Also very annoying that the weight increase increments only go up by either 5 or 10 lbs. would be nice to have 2.5 and 1lb increments as well. It is also very annoying that you cannot set your own rest timer. Not everyone needs a 2.5 or 5 minute rest between sets. Basically I just think it’s really lacking in those areas, it needs to be more customizable bottom line. It could be a great app if they improve in those areas, as for now I’ll be looking for something else and canceling my membership.

### 2/5 — Seems decent

*2019-11-15*

Crashes instantly on my iPhone 5S though. My fault for having an old phone I guess.

### 3/5 — Need workout revision options

*2020-08-21*

Running GCCL and there’s no way to remove a lift once it’s logged or add a lift to workouts already logged if you forgot to include it. Seems like a big oversight unless I’m missing something.

### 3/5 — Wish it were a little more customizable

*2020-08-10*

I enjoy the app, been using it for almost 6 months. Have run a few programs. Still waiting for NSuns, Jacked and Tan, and a few others. I wish the app would let me substitute some exercises due to lack of equipment, or preference of one exercise over another for accessory movements.
I wish rest times were a little more customizable (meaning add or subtract time based off of need). I also wish deload weeks could be programmed in, not just targeted towards a particular muscle group. Reloading weight for 1 day, for one exercise, of a 6 day week of PPL is not really a deload and is gonna lead to over training.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Good basic version but won’t update to Pro

*2024-02-20*

Basic version is good. Using this app for the GZCLP. I’ve tried to update and pay for thePro upgrade but it’s won’t allow me to make the update. Have written support several times with zero response. I guess they don’t want the money. It’s a shame because this app has great potential.

### 5/5 — Apple Watch

*2023-10-02, version 2.1*

Apple watch desteği gelirse süper olur

### 5/5 — Straight to the point

*2023-09-25*

I don’t need fancy features. I just need something to tell me what to do at the gym. It contains a selection of tried and trusted routines. after you set initial weights it adapts them for your next workout. No overhead. No thinking. Just do it. Love it.

### 5/5 — Good

*2021-05-07*

Helps me keep track of what I am doing

### 5/5 — Good stuff

*2021-01-26*

Simple and to the point. Great interface. Much more efficient than inputting numbers or tracking your progress manually. If you're a beginner or even intermediate lifter, this is what you need. I could go on about why I like it, but instead you should just get the app and hit the gym.

### 5/5 — Saves time

*2020-08-16*

Hate doing math so this app automatically calculating my weight... it’s a no brainer!

### 5/5 — Good for Beginners and Intermediate Lifters

*2020-06-18*

Easy interface.

### 5/5 — Pretty perfect

*2020-03-03*

I like this app a lot. It reliably tracks and programs some of the r/fitness workouts. Would love Apple Watch support and some of the 531 programs (the publicly available ones, anyway).

### 5/5 — Exactly what I was looking for

*2020-02-18*

Was using a spreadsheet to do a program that I found on reddit. This is much more efficient. I’m doing GZCLP and it takes care of everything and follows the program to perfection.

### 5/5 — Will not work

*2020-01-25*

Downloaded the app and it will not open on my phone.
Edit: app is working properly 1/25

**Developer response:** Hey Jwalk, Yesterday there was an Apple service responding with a bad format that was causing this issue. The good news: That service is working properly again. Also, we released a new version of the app so that it will work if this service goes rogue again.
