## What is CLARA Solo?

CLARA listens to your music lesson and writes the notes for you. Music lessons are intense and a big investment — CLARA makes sure nothing gets lost. CLARA uses a recording and analysis method built specifically for music teaching, so the notes are clear and consistent in a way general-purpose transcription apps aren't.

Record your lesson directly in the app, or upload from Voice Memos or Zoom. CLARA transcribes the audio and generates structured, comprehensive lesson notes — with clickable timestamps so you can jump back to any moment in your lesson recording.

WHAT YOU GET

Detailed lesson notes generated from your audio
Timestamped references to key moments in the lesson
Summaries, warm-ups, repertoire notes, and homework
Ask CLARA — questions about your last 60 days of lessons, answered only from what your teachers actually said. CLARA never invents pedagogy.
Keep multiple teachers and instruments straight — file each lesson under the teacher who taught it, then ask about one teacher or one instrument at a time
Templates to match your teacher's structure, plus masterclasses, lectures and more
Export to PDF or share directly from the app
Audio playback with links indexed to key concepts from the notes

PERFECT FOR

Music students who want to remember every correction
Parents who want to know and remember what happened in the lesson
Anyone studying piano, violin, voice, guitar, brass, or any instrument

## Version history (last 3 releases)

### 1.2.2 — 2026-10-03

Recording is now far more reliable. CLARA keeps recording when your screen locks, when you switch apps, and through phone calls and Siri — pausing during the interruption and continuing automatically afterwards. If CLARA is closed mid-lesson, your recording is recovered the next time you open it. Recordings made without a connection are saved and sent automatically when you're back online.

### 1.2.1 — 2026-09-05

Minor App Store updates to Localizable Information - Subtitle (was blank before). No changes to the app.

### 1.2.0 — 2026-08-26

No release notes.
