Clare is a poor product as is the app experience . Cameras don’t connect on the displays app rarely renders them , buggy and there is a ton of latency making the whole system unusable

Constantly unlinks from Google home. Devices would show up as offline despite working perfectly fine. Absolute nightmare to find support from installer and from app developers. On top of everything else, very dated interface. Would love to avoid ever using them again.

For the most part the app works great. However, despite allowing me to add a scene to a widget, it doesn’t work. Only devices added to a widget seem to work on iOS. Hope they resolve this as I would really love one button tap to execute certain scenes.

I am trying to add google nest doorbell however, after linking in chrome, when I switch back to app I can see at the bottom some scroll but the text does not is not the main screen not allowing to add it. I tried on my wifes phone, ipad but still does not work. What is this non-sense.

Got Clare panel and doorbell installed with new build by Gehan (now Brightland). All around terrible experience although first several months everything appeared to work fine. First Clare alarm not appearing on Clare home app (within first year). Now at year 2 doorbell app not properly working with video playback or notification with ringing doorbell or motion. Clare refers us to the installer who tell us they no longer use Clare. Useless customer service department. Of course Gehan/Brightland would choose cheap products.

Our home came installed with ClareHome “smart” lighting. It has had inexplicable bugs from day one. Their customer service takes no responsibility for the many failings of the product and do everything they can to avoid helping you via remote access, which they used to provide, but now don’t even offer, though they still have the capability. They constantly try to push you off to a “local installer”, but then don’t really know who the local installer is. In my case, the local installer was in the next state and didn’t even seem to specialize in the product anymore. So now we’re stranded with nonfunctioning switches, and a terribly designed app. I assume this company is more invested in marketing themselves to developers than taking care of the end user. I can’t imagine any other reason they’re still around. Definitely going to have to switch to another brand that takes responsibility for their product.

New update is terrible. Takes more clicks to get to what you want. Was so much easier with the tiles on home page. I could see at a glance what was on and what was off.

Ever since the last app update, I’m getting double notifications for every event (ie. Door faulted, doorbell alert etc) and can’t seem to resolve it. Also, installer is charging $20 a month for “self monitoring”… is this normal practice?
