## What is Clarity?

When you can't be there, Clarity can.

Clarity is a calm, full-screen day clock for someone living with dementia, Alzheimer's or memory loss — and peace of mind for the family who love them. When the days blur together, one glance answers the questions that cause the most worry: What day is it? Is it morning or night? What's happening today?

In big, gentle writing it shows:
• The day of the week, and whether it's morning, afternoon, evening or night
• The date and time, clearly and simply
• A soft colour that shifts through the day and dims at night

One tap to reach you
Add your name and number and a large "Call Sarah" button sits at the top of the clock — the first thing on the screen. One tap starts the call. No contacts list to scroll, no number to remember, nothing to get lost in. Choose FaceTime, FaceTime audio or an ordinary phone call. Test it during setup so you know it works before you need it.

A message from you, always on screen
Add a reassuring line only you can change — "Sarah is coming Thursday. You are safe, we love you" — so a familiar voice is there even when you can't be.

Reminders that ring, then let it rest
Set the day's reminders — tablets, meals, a visitor. When one is due it appears clearly and a gentle alarm rings, resting and trying again a few times rather than sounding all day. Your loved one taps "I've done it" and a calm "done" stays on screen, answering the anxious "have I already taken my tablets?". Tapped it by mistake? One tap puts the reminder straight back.

Made to be trusted
• Free — no ads, no subscription, ever
• The clock, messages and reminders work with no internet at all
• Nothing collected or shared — everything stays on the device
• The screen stays on, so it's always there

Set it up in a minute on a spare iPhone or iPad, by the bed or in the kitchen. Simple for the person using it. Reassuring for the family who set it up.

Clarity does not diagnose or treat any condition. It is a supportive day-orientation clock and gentle reminder — not a substitute for a carer's help with medication.

## Version history (last 3 releases)

### 1.0.2 — 2026-08-22

A big "Call Sarah" button at the top of the clock — one tap to reach you by FaceTime or phone, with no contacts to scroll through and no number to remember.

Reminder times now understand however you write them — 9am, 9.30, 930 and 9:00 all work. Earlier versions only understood 9:00, and quietly saved anything else without a time, so it never rang. This update repairs any reminder that happened to, and tells you plainly if a time can't be read.

Reminders you can put back. Tapped "I've done it" by mistake? Tap the done line and the reminder comes straight back.

A reminder that isn't acknowledged now rings a few times and then rests, instead of sounding until midnight. Gentler on the person, and much gentler on the battery.

Plainer, step-by-step setup instructions for carers.

### 1.0.1 — 2026-07-18

Small improvements and fixes.

### 1.0 — 2026-07-13

No release notes.
