## What is Clarity?

Follow every conversation, word for word.

Clarity turns nearby speech into large, live captions that show who is speaking — entirely on your iPhone. Press Start, set your phone where it can hear, and read along until you press Stop. It's made for people who are deaf or hard of hearing, and for anyone who'd rather read a conversation than strain to hear it.

LIVE, SPEAKER-LABELED CAPTIONS
• Words appear about half a second after they're spoken
• Each line is labeled with who said it, for up to four speakers
• A gentle vibration lets you know when someone new starts talking

BIG, CALM, READABLE
• Only the line being spoken is large and bold, so it's easy to keep your place
• Choose from five text sizes and five reading speeds
• Designed with older adults and low vision in mind

NAME THE SPEAKERS
• Change "Speaker 2" to "Lily" mid-conversation, and every line updates
• Save the people you talk to most for one-tap naming

SAVED FOR LATER
• When you press Stop, the full conversation is saved with times and names
• Read it again later or share it, which is useful after a doctor's visit or a family call

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
• Audio is never recorded
• Listening, captions and speaker detection all happen on your iPhone
• Works without internet once set up
• No account, no ads, no tracking

GETTING STARTED
Clarity does a one-time download (about 800 MB) during setup so it can understand speech without the internet. Wi-Fi is recommended.

Live captions currently support English. Requires iOS 26 or later.

Clarity is a captioning tool. It is not a medical device or a hearing aid, and captions may not be perfect in noisy places or when people talk over each other.

SUBSCRIPTION TERMS
Using Clarity after setup requires an auto-renewing subscription:
• Clarity Monthly: $4.99 per month
• Clarity Yearly: $44.99 per year
Prices are in U.S. dollars and may vary by country. Your price is shown in the app before you subscribe.
