You can buy female voices. This is blatantly discriminatory. All its many competitors have free male and female UK voices **Developer response:** Hello, This is not true. The app uses the iOS default system voice for your device. Your UK voice appears to be set to male. You can change this in the iOS Settings app under Accessibility > Spoken Content > Voices > English. You can select a female voice here, Kate for example. ### 1/5 — Suz *2015-03-23* This app is a waste of money. It starts each sentence with double letters and misses words when speaking ### 2/5 — Low volume *2021-03-01* Would be great if you could make the volume loud enough to be heard by others. In our next major update for ClaroCom we are improving the audio put on iPhones so hopefully this will resolve this issue for you. Claro Software ### 3/5 — Needs Improvements *2023-04-08* I wish there was a way to use Dark Mode on this. The light background is very harsh and hard on my eyes. I use to have to carry around a bulky device that made it harder for me to walk but now I have this on my iPad. This had made a big difference to me. If I needed to use it full time, I would definitely go for this. Even the free version is incredibly useful and very adaptable, with a brilliant range of existing phrases. Adding your own works really well, I can now have a full conversation with a few taps, and am really impressed with how well it works. All my phrases are easily stored, and I can add new ones really quickly. Once I can afford the upgrade, I'm going to get it. I'm also recommending this to folks who want AAC in words, rather than symbols. It's clearly set up for adults, which is fantastic, and makes navigating the world as a professional of any kind much easier. Bank transactions, coffee trips, meetings for work or with friends, all easy to use, with the phrases already available. This is really good! ## Most praised reviews (1 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Motor Neurone life line *2015-04-08* This App has been a lifeline to my late father who lost his ability to speak for some 12mths before passing. The full £10 upgraded version is the one he had and to be able to categorise and invent your own phrases was what makes this software so useful. My father would never bond with computers yet this app helped him gain confidence and eventually became essential to communicate with his friends, family and medical profession.
