## What is Claruss?

Claruss helps you keep the commitments you've already made to yourself.

Set rules to block distracting apps during any time window you choose. The blocks are enforced at the system level. To unlock early, you enter a one-time passcode sent to your email or phone. You can also require a second code sent to an accountability partner — someone who has to approve the unlock before it happens.

That's the point. Not just friction, but friction you share with someone else.

CORE FEATURES
Scheduled blocking by day and time (free)
System-level enforcement — works even when the app is closed (free)
One-time passcode to unlock early by email (free)
One-time passcode by SMS (Pro)
Accountability partner who must also approve early unlocks (Pro)
Hardcore mode: cooldown before editing or deleting your own rules (Pro)
Lockdown mode: block everything except whitelisted apps (Pro)
Website blocking in Safari, Chrome and other browsers (Pro)

HOW IT WORKS
Every block you set is enforced at the system level. When a rule is active, the apps you chose are locked — not hidden, not filtered, actually blocked. Closing Claruss doesn't change that.

When you want to unlock early, you have to earn it. Claruss sends a one-time passcode to your email or phone. You enter it, and the block lifts. That gap — the 30 seconds between impulse and action — is where most people stop.

If you want more accountability, add a partner. When you try to unlock early, they get a code too. Both codes have to be entered before anything opens. Your partner doesn't manage you. They just make it impossible to quietly give up without someone knowing.

Hardcore mode adds a cooldown before you can edit or delete a rule you've already set. So the version of you that made the commitment has a small advantage over the version of you that wants to abandon it.

14-DAY PRO TRIAL
Every new account gets 14 days of Claruss Pro, no credit card required. When the trial ends, you decide whether to subscribe. We don't auto-convert.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.0.6 — 2026-06-24

Changes:

  - Anonymous-first accounts — the app no longer forces sign-up before use; users can start immediately with an anonymous account (addresses the prior 5.1.1(v) guideline
feedback). Anonymous accounts are de-duplicated per device to prevent free-trial farming.
  - Website/domain blocking — users can now type specific website domains to block (in addition to apps); blocked sites render consistently as text on both the Lock screen and
  dashboard cards.
  - Lockdown quick surfaces — added a Home Screen Quick Action, an App Shortcut, and a background Control toggle (iOS 18+) for starting/managing a lock faster.
  - Accountability partner one-tap unlock — a partner can now approve an unlock request directly from the Partner tab with a single tap.
  - Privacy — removed the App Tracking Transparency prompt entirely; the app no longer requests tracking permission.
  - Timezone fix — rule schedules now re-anchor correctly when a user changes their device timezone, so locks fire at the right local time.

- small fix to session lock mechanism
- updated support for IOS builds 17+
- fixed session timeout issue
